Jumping into a conversation between folks to tell them that they should not be having the conversation because it tires or annoys you is not rude?

Anywho, folks who have not learned by now that most of these "news" threads tend to be one big fustercluck of rumor, inuendo, speculation, flailing and general goofiness that many times end badly need to step back and take a breath.

Mostly entertainment, sprinkled with an occasional bit of knowledge....

Jumping in between folks having a conversation huh? I'm pretty sure my post was about the thread as a whole, an not directly about what ever, "Conversation" you we're having. The thing about these topic is they always seem to generate worry amongst certain people, when there is no need for it. Then it seems to go even further downhill as people tend to get into arguments, or "Heated" conversations, over something that as you basically said, "Pure Speculation". (At least thats how I interpreted your final line.) Its just something that doesn't need to be on this forums such as, like previously stated, applanet, anything similar to that or basic posts that people make to get a rise out of people.

I did not mean for my comment to come off as rude or directed directly at you. It was just an observation of these type of threads as a whole.

As someone who works in sales, we are always working with customers on pricing and products. We eat freight charges all the time and try and make the customer happy. Verizon rarely does any of this to loyal customers.

You are grandfathered in for 2 years b/c you have renewed your contract for 2 years. Your contract is your agreement that you pay this much for getting this much service.

Isn't there a clause in the contract that allows them to change the terms of the original agreement?

Yes and that if they change it you can cancel the contract without penalty. They probably don't want that.
 
Folks I think the usefulness of this thread has expired. Apparently, some folks just can not discuss topics, repeated or not, in a civil manner. Therefore, the thread is closed!
