Transparent apps...what's missing ?

Found an issue with the MIUI Music transparency.

If you use ADW Launcher EX and go into the settings to check the box to hide status bar it will make everything disappear on the Music except the play, back, and forward button if widget is set on 4x4. When pushing play button nothing happens.

If on 4x3, 4x2, 4x1 transparency never takes place.

If I uncheck the hide status bar everything returns to normal. Kind of odd.

No, you don't need to mount the system partition. The script within the .zip will take care of that.

Ok good. I did it without ever doing that. Just making sure. Have they ever finished a Handcent version? I lost track of what they were doing with that one. Handcent's widget is pretty hideous. I have a lot of creative ideas to change the look of the widget but no skills or knowledge yet to edit that stuff.

Transparent market version 234 credit to ecsnead for the invert and anything else in the app all i did was make it transparent for everyone. Update zip format install will work with any recovery. The screenshot above of the 233 market issue is fixed in this one I think I got everything let me know if I missed anything

Yesterday I flashed the contacts.apk on PE 5.0.2 and ended up with one issue. Everything was perfectly transparent, but if I clicked on the call log tab the phone would immediately force close. I fixed permissions and even started over from scratch to make sure I didn't mess up but nothing worked. Perhaps this apk doesn't like PE?

This is a known issue with all GB Roms, I believe someone made the Gingerbread contacts.apk transparent but I never got the file to update the O/P

Thanks for the info, tp. I had a hunch it had to do with a Froyo/Gingerbread conversion issue. I guess I'll be checking back often to see if the transparent GB contacts.apk makes its way to here. The lack of transparency with the phone is my only complaint with this current PE ROM.

Are you using a specific theme? I have it done but all the pngs are from something I'm working on I could post either the stock one our a different one if you'd like some time tonight

Well after many failed attempts with previous twitter versions huge THANKS to the Bowers for his newest inverted twitter which I started with to make the finally complete(hopefully if theres any bugs let me know) Transparent Twitter bnb_transparent_twitter.apk
Again big thanks to the bowers...this will install like any other apk but if you already have it installed you may have to uninstall it first. Hope everyone enjoys
