Transparent apps...what's missing ?

Thanks for the info, tp. I had a hunch it had to do with a Froyo/Gingerbread conversion issue. I guess I'll be checking back often to see if the transparent GB contacts.apk makes its way to here. The lack of transparency with the phone is my only complaint with this current PE ROM.

Are you using a specific theme? I have it done but all the pngs are from something I'm working on I could post either the stock one our a different one if you'd like some time tonight

I do have a theme - Austerity by amosavitas. It's nothing fancy. Just a minimal black and white look, which is why the transparent apps looks so nice. I'm going to try the link in the post immediately after yours and see if it works. Thanks for the offer to help.

I got it! ... It wouldnt let me just 7zip the drawerables into it... so i had to use apk manager~

Not sure off the top of my head but I can look tonight...also I'm not sure if I forget to post mine when I did it but the one I have had the text fixed. I'll try and post it and get that info tonight

I all the sudden started getting constant force closes in facebook 1.5.1 after 1.5.2 was released. I'm going to have to make time to dive into that sucker tomorrow.

I have a transparent Handcent (v3.5), don't remember if i got it here or elsewhere, but i can upload of you want

This has been floating around XDA - transparent (sms threads) Handcent 3.5
I'm pretty sure it installs fine by running the apk.
**Rename file: from .apk.pdf to .apk ...

Forgot to note: set the skin to 'Hero' and theme to Black in settings (or something like that). I haven't picked apart the apk yet, but conversation list is not transparent. Pretty much all else is.
