You replace the lights.shadow.so file with lights.droid2.so? In the system/lib/hw folder?

i replaced all the files in that folder with the d2 files. and the keyboard fix for the other dx roms is system>usr>replace all the files in keychars and keylayout with the ones from d2 rom, but for whatever reason on this rom they are right back after you flash the rom. that key board fix works for the other dx roms though

So, to fix the backlight, you just took a rom like Fission and replaced all the files in system/lib/hw in UD with the ones from Fission? and then zipped it back up?

yup, thats exactly what i did. any one know why those keybord files keep going back when i flash the rom?

There's no lights.shadow.so in the Apex rom that I was going to use to replace the system/lib/hw files of UD. Do I leave that file in UD? Or delete it?

Alright well I got it the backlight thing to work.

2 more problems. Can't update voice search or youtube apps from market. I even tried uninstalling with root explorer, still can't install em. If anyone has an idea, lemme know.

So, it has no usb, no gps or video, which are listed on the site as bugs. The keyboard issue. Backliight is no longer a issue. Some market apps don't install. We should have access to a fully functional ud rom by mid-afternoon

I want to give it a shot, but want to see if some of those issues/bugs can get fixed first. Got a busy schedule and have little or no time to deal with those things.

yeah i can see why everyone is so hyped about this rom coming to d2.. this my first rooted device and ive used epic 2.5/7, fission roms all of them hehe.. and now im using apex. loving it.. the screen transitions are awesome..works great.. tried using ud and really loved all the extras.. gonna wait for bugs to be worked out and this is it for me..hehe

Yeah, definitely waiting on the bugs to be fixed before I try throwing this ROM on my D2... looks awesome though.

Also, PowerAmp doesn't seem to be working. As soon as I open it, it just closes again.

ur supposed to be able to enable mass storage by having usb connected to pc @ bootup...am i the only one who cant get it to work?
