Unofficial CCRom Builds!

Anyone Care to test a theme?

I have played with 1.1.4 a bit and my theme seems to play nicely with it - just want to see how it handles for others ... if you're interested.

*EDIT* Be sure you install this over the stock "theme" - if you're running a theme and install this over it and have issues - restore to stock and then try installing this ...

Should this work with Ruby 1.1.4 on the Incredible as well?

tia,

jc

Not 100% sure about that. I vaguely remember seeing somewhere that a theme for one CCROM should work with another ... not sure if it was in the IRC or in a thread somewhere or what. You may want some better clarifications before trying.
Or say the heck with it, make a backup and give it a whirl  ... up to you

Yeah, it should work just fine.

Thanks for the conformation Tank! Oh, hope you don't mind I posted this here - should've asked first

So, anyone have any idea as to whether or not Dark Edge 2.2 will work with the Incredible as it is primary to Sapphire on the Droid?

jc

Maybe this has been discussed but I have not seen it in the thread. I installed 1.1.4 and it went without issues, however...there wasn't that little tutorial in the beginning that allows me to sync my phone with google. Any ideas? Also I am not sure where in the settings this might be if it is. Your help is appreciated.

It isn't primary to Sapphire, but actually stock froyo, but it worked on Sapphire surprisingly. Though, I have to say, many sapphire features were missing so you will pretty much be running stock Froyo.

You have to install the gapps file just like any other release. Grab it from the OP.

I know it may be a stupid question, but should I go into recovery in order to install the gapps? Thanks for such a quick reply.

I just installed the latest release yesterday and have been having weird issues. I wiped data and cache before I installed.
1 Switchapk- every time I try to switch the music app it says server not found
2 Audio DSP FC every time.
3 Market thinks I don't have a data connection when I do.

So I have a question...what is involved in "porting" a theme...I've never done it but i've kinda got a theme i did myself running on 1.1.1 and i'm wondering what all I need to do to port it over....do i just move the res from the old theme to the framework and app apk?

I've just been moving over the images from each drawable folder (not the entire folder itself, just the images). Not sure if there is a faster/easier way but it's working for me. ... from what I understand XML edits have to be done over - can't transfer them. Not 100% about that though cuz I have yet to dive into the xml edits, but check out the Droid Theming section ... LOTS of good little tid-bits in there.
