Unofficial CCRom Builds!

I'm gonna adventure and see if this works outta box (since DE seems to work and it isn't for 2.2.1 )before i go crazy porting...crossing fingers

I am experiencing the same issues as litso. I flashed over the stock update & gapp zips and the problem remained

So I am on Stock 1.1.4 without any themes. I checked the keyboard settings and they are all checked. My auto correct isn't working. Would it be safe to grab a keyboard apk from another version of sapphire?

I reflashed GApps and functionality returned.

I rebooted into recovery and just flashed GAPPS and I still do not have autocomplete dictionary. Word suggestions are all checked. Any other hints? Should I reflash the ROM? I really don't feel like doing that.

Thanks!

I had this issue with another ROM. You need to search for the Stock Android Keyboard also known as "LatinIME.apk" install this stock keyboard and everthing is back....If you need the file let me know....

Install the droid2/droid x multitouch keyboard. It has a latinIME.apk with it, and you will be happier with its performance

Open up titanium backup, search for the apps and remove the ones that were in the gApps package. they have been replaced by the market versions. (I think the ones in the gapps package were all version 2.2 so that should help differentiate)

i have 2 clock apps, 2 calendar apps, 2 email, gallery, and music apps... o.O

Did you install DarkEdge? If so go into /system/apps in root explorer and delete the version that ISN'T followed by 'google'. For example, you will see calendar.apk and calendargoogle.apk. Delete calendar.apk.

thank you! I didn't even know about this and now I am twice as happy with sapphire. this keyboard is amazing. I have 50% less touch type errors.

Geez!

I'm gone for a while and Tanky is up to 1.1.4 ! :)

Well ... I might grab it up, but right now I'm happy with 1.1.1, can wait a bit. Will be watching the thread though.

Which reminds me, with the new ADW out, any chance it can get incorporated?

Congrats on all you have done in the meantime!

Was having the same problems, so I installed the Droid 2/Droid X keybaord. However, I get bizarre errors with the hardware keyboard now. The "alt" key does not work properly. Pressing it once will give the correct alt keytype on the next button press, but all presses after are an underscore _ until you press alt again. Anyone else with this problem?

Weird, took me awhile to figure out why my password wasn't working :P but I suppose I can get over that (or just use the Swype beta).
