Unofficial CCRom Builds!

After a long week flirting with Cyanogen, I'm back to my beloved. Time to see what I can get to work on...

Traitor. :P

Lol, i would love to have all the options of roms like cyanogen, but i am still yet to come across a rom who runs as good as sapphire does. Hence the reason i'm back :P

I was just giving you a hard time. :) I understand the desire to see what else is out there. Cyanogen is definitely one of the most popular for good reason. Personally, since Froyo, I haven't moved away from Sapphire at all. I've had some weird issues, but, I think it's either related to LP and/or my overclocking settings. I think when it gets clocked down it sometimes has difficulty clocking back up when I "wake it up". Hard to explain but the phone is just non-responsive. Meh. Whatever. It works EXTREMELY well most days. Anyway, yea, Cyanogen is nice, but, that just means that Sapphire has some more work to do. ;)

I too did the same, but I had to come back cm6 just got way to buggy on me, and the battery life was TERRIBLE. I can get at least a day and a half if not more with sapphire, but with cm i had to charge every chance I could.

one thing I will say i like about cm is the level of settings it has, i wish something like that could be incorporated into sapphire. the main thing being the ability to turn off led notifications.

I tried out the first 6.1 release candidate for the notification power settings (which I would love to see added to sapphire) but I also quickly switched back to 1.1.4 for the stability and smoothness

I'm actually working on that :P

You're all traitors! :D LOL!! It's good to know you all keep coming back, though. hahahaha. IMO, nothing touches Sapphire. It rocks. More features are good, but, as you add more things, there are more points to cause problems so you need to be careful. If there were a way to do selective feature additions it'd be nice. Modularization, iow. Like having install packages that add the features you want. That'd be neat.

According to what's been posted here, yes. You will lose GEM settings, but, it generally seems to work well on Sapphire. I've not tried it myself. I only use black bar at this point, but, it's been reported to work well.
