just letting you know doublea .. this is how i restore apps/the data associated with them everytime i update MIUI.. and everytime it works like a charm. as stated previously restoring system data= FC city.

ok im testing it out now. so far so good. thanks for the help hopper and revenge

nope it isnt working i still have the force close. "the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again."

Well one last thing to try and then I'm out of ideas. Settings/programs tab/ manage applications/all
Force stop and clear data and cache for the following apps, dialer, contacts, contacts storage, Google framework services, mms. Good luck.

I ran into an issue today that I had briefly with MIUI a couple of builds ago. I tried to use the Navigation app, and it popped up a window that said Checking Navigation Availability, and that would not go away. When it happened to me before it seemed to go away on its own, but not this time.

Has anyone else tried Navigation yet? Any ideas?

i had this issue a few roms ago and now after i install new rom i run "Maps" first.. then run navigation and it works fine.. you only have to run maps 1st the very first time then you can run navigation without running maps first

hope that helps

Had this today as well. Did open maps first and then navigation. Still would not work. Just did a TB restore of maps and now everything works

There is still some left over Chinese on the password settings. One when setting a pin and one setting a password.

really great luck with this build! thanks for keeping me out of the verizon store, and happy with my d1. thanks for adding things back so quickly when requested.

d1Miui 1.1.14 p3LV250-1250 kernel

Took way too long with a lot of FCs and bootloops, but it was worth it. Now that this ***** is running it's faster than ever. You gotta fight for it I guess.

(This is from the DroidForums app, hopefully that image came through. If it didn't, it's a screenie of a Quadrant Score of 1518.)

I am working on a small no wipe update but flashing that is breaking themes :-(

If you guys want i can just post the apks, and the framework file that fixes the reboot menu

will there b another update to make themes work?
or is there steps i can take to fix it on my own?

Thanks a lot jam for the up date...it got everything to work, at least so far.

Works great and looks great too.

Here's what I did to get everything back on my phone.

1. Flashed 1.1.14.0 with Rom Manager with backup and wipe checked.

2. Skipped google sign in and then rebooted into recovery.

3. Flashed 1.1.14.1 and rebooted

4. Ran Miui Backup (app restore)

5. I used titanium backup to check that all my apps were back, a few were missing so I restored with TB.

6. Ran Miui Backup (system restore)

7. Signed into google (i just ran the Market App and followed the prompts)

8. Went through all of the Miui settings and set them all.

I sill need to try all my apps but for now everything is working great and fast.

Menu>editing mode >menu again>add>shortcuts>direct dial is now 100% fixed. No extra enteries and pictures look great. This is great to have icons with a picture of your speed dials in a folder and then drag the folder in the bottom dock to be used when needed. Looks great. Thank you. No new issues for me though still looking (hoping) forward to yahoo free mail fix and lock screen Google voice hack.

What speed is the stock kernel? Feels nice and smooth. Love the fall down launcher. Very unique to this rom.
