[UPDATE][Rom]D1-MIUI-1.1.14.1

4th time trying to flash this baby. After it booted. I skipped the android screen and went to desktop. I didnt restore my apps or install any kernels. I kept it a virgin build for testing purposes. I set up the security pin for phone and the minute the screen went black. My phone went into a boot loop. So problem is in the lock screen pin. can someone help a veteran Mui user . OUt of the builds from day one, this is the only one I cant run. I feel like getting dumped

Yep, I've been having the same problem all day. I just recently found that it was the PIN causing the problem. I also re-flashed and did nothing but set up my PIN and immediately went into an infinite reboot.

Delete Apps?

Ok so maybe I've missed something. Last time I used this was 12.24. Everything loaded well and is running smooth. However, went to delete the default clock and google toolbar and nothing. Turns out I can't go into editing mode at all. Has something new been added to disable this? Rebooted the phone twice but still no go. I installed clean (wipe, etc) and didn't load any system data. So I am at a loss. The only thing I can think of would be to wipe again and reflash but would rather not.

Any help would be appreciated.

on the home screen hit menu, then hit edit mode, is that option not there? :icon_eek:

Umm... if a wipe and a reflash didn't fix it, redownload the rom.

Thanks Jamz. Yeah I know about that. It is there but when I hit it it does nothing. I am not getting any response from the screen. I guess I will try to redownload and reload.

Yeah thats what mine says too. As long as you have car home and news and weather widget are installed the update should be installed.

I so want to flash back over to this ROM because I think it is the ONLY ROM that is different than any other. The reason that I'm not back on it is because I NEED the MMS Video to work correctly. I've noticed 3 new releases come out after the MMS Video issue was brought to anyone's attention but it continues to be one of the outstanding issues each new release. Is it just that for whatever reason, MIUI just will not have that ability on the D1? If that is the case, I'll be sad about it but I'll know enough that until I get a new phone, I'll stop checking back into this forum to see if it's been fixed.

Best build for me so far
I use Google voice for free texting but can't send mms with GV. I can't for the life of me figure out though why anyone would want to text multimedia files.

FYI using yahoo mail app from market and choosing to sync yahoo contacts with phone creates multiple enteries when making direct dial shortcuts of the same number. The entry is correct in the contacts but not direct dial shortcuts. I just chose not to sync, problem solved.

Do the Chinese developers read this thread? I never knew jamzelle did not have the source. Great job dude.

Being a divorced father with 2 kids, they enjoy using their cell to take short multimedia files that they take at their school events that they send via mms. I'm sure I am not the only person who has people who send mms videos.

Just wanted to say that this build is the best yet, it is working really, really well for me. The past three or four builds have been killing my battery, but this one is sweet. Great battery life, and it's running lows temps too. Super fast and smooth. I'm really impressed!! Thanks so much Jamezelle, again you are THE MAN!!

I'm sure this has been discussed at nauseum, but is there a way to sync FB contacts with existing ones? Every time I try and sync with existing contacts, it ends up putting every FB contact in to my contacts. I don't mind using the syncmypix route, but was just wondering if there's a way to sync with existing.
