Update your PRL'S

I do this every month.... I use *22899 so it activates and updates my phone....

I guess the list is for the whole nation. Mine is the same. This is different than what I was told a while back by a VZW tech.

I don't believe that the PRL is based on location but rather your plan.

I have prl 30051 on my Droid and my girlfriend has that latest one you are all installing that starts with a 5. I get almost perfect signal in our house and pretty much everywhere else around here but she can barely make a call when at home. Hers says it's using Verizon and mine never lists the network. I'd like to try copying the prl from my phone to hers (both are rooted) but don't know where it's stored and can't seem to find it. Any help tracking it down would be appreciated. If anyone knows how to force these things to roam that would work too. I can see the Alltel tower from my front door.

I'm in southeastern NC/northeastern SC everyday. Just used *228, Opt 2 on my Droid and received PRL 40059. It was at 40057 prior. Looks like I'm the only one in this thread with a 4xxxx PRL. I wonder why. ???

I updated PRL after the software update and my PRL is now 51716

Previous was 51638.

I'm in Los Angeles.

I'm in the LA area as well- specifically Cerritos, but mine is now 51731. What is weird was the 2 bars to 4 bars jump in signal after updating. Usually I see no signal change when I do this...

This only impacts you if you are roaming ... I never roam unless on travel.

i guess i've been on 51731 for a while. i just checked my number and it was already there.

i never understood why they just don't force it to your phone. i'd be wiling to bet maybe 10% of subscribers actually do this.

I'd be willing to be 4% of subscribers actually do this.

I just updated my PRL's and it's showing 51731. If you haven't updated recently, it's about time to.

i updated mine and its not changing... a friend of mine in the same area is running 51731. wtf?
