no i believe thats an issue with the phones hardware itself, only like 1 out of 1000 people have this issue and the only way i know of fixing it is to get a replacement device.

Maps 4.3 and any other app that uses GPS will FC because GPS isn't functioning properly just yet on this rom... that being said, this rom kicks ass.

maps 4.3 FC's here as well, might not be sticking with this build as I use Nav every day.

It FCs because google has moved maps.apk out of /system/apps. It's now a stand alone application downloadable from the market.

Maps will most likely still come w/ the official ota. Maps isn't in source, I just simply forgot to add it.

Seems quite a bit smoother than the FRF57 build I had on here. But the force closes when using GPS caused me to reflash FRF57 back to my device for the time being. I also liked the 3D application menu of FRF57 more than the 2D menu of FRF83.

Can't wait to see the finished product!

Beautiful Widgets FC on this build... tried to add it twice. Not only that... it did something weird... I can't even touch anywhere on the screen where I was going to add it so I had to uninstall the application to fix it. I know it's not the ROMs issue... it's Beautiful Widgets... it doesn't appear to be compatible with this version of Froyo.

everythings running great except for the maps fc. I tested chevyno1s 1.1ghz low voltage kernel and it works great. Got a quadrant score of 1408. Had a few fc when using browser though.

EDIT: I couldn't find some of my apps on the store after several searches. It seemed like they weren't on the market. The apps I couldn't find were bejeweled, musicsleep, and zenonia. I couldn't find them even though I purchased them

I actually have it running well.Stock kernel and all.No maps and it won't add them.Also I did not wipe and I am yet to have a FC (crosses fingers).BW is already on mine running fine.Mini info thing is gone.Shutter sound yikes nasty.Why they would not make that sound if not disableable(is that a word)at least adjustable.My nieghbors can hear it.=-].Ok well I will mess around more thanks Jrum.
