USB audio now working with 2.1!!!!

my kenwood excelon still doesn't recognize my droid when i plug it in via the USB port on the front of the deck. it flashes USB a few times and then eventually says N/A DEVICE. this may sound stupid as hell but do i need to unmount my SD card or whatever to be able to listen to the downloaded music on my droid in my truck on my deck? thanks for any answers.

You need to mount it to whatever device you have it plugged into to have it read the card via USB. I will echo a few others saying that I have been able to do this with my Droid long before 2.1

man i might be an idiot but what do you mean by mount it? like actually in a car dock? ive just been unplugging the usb from my home charger and plugging that into my deck itself. http://www.productwiki.com/upload/images/kenwood_excelon_kdc_x492-150-150.jpg
there is my deck with the USB port and the headphone jack being behind that slide shield on the right hand side of the picture. lol thanks again.

can anyone else please help me here? refer to my above post please. thank you sorry for the double post but im desperate lol.

Mount only refers to letting your car stereo access the SD card. When you plug the phone up to the stereo, you should receive a notification on your phone that says USB Connected. You have to tap that and you will get a prompt to mount.
