[v0.8+] Liberty Bug Reports

It's a flashable zip. It contains the apk as well as the other files necessary to allow it be flashable in cw.

Installing LGB Bootstrap did the trick. Thanks!

Droid X bootstrap was restored by Titanium Backup after the GB 0.8 install. That must have screwed it up.

My next issue is that I can't get the Liberty lock screen to go away. I enabled the pattern lock and when I unlock the phone I have to unlock the Liberty lock screen to get to the pattern. I tried installing WidgetLocker but that just added another layer: Liberty lock screen to WidgetLocker lock screen to pattern lock screen. Frustrating.
 
i believe that's just an element of blur. because if you look at most aosp roms, they mention that they don't have the double lock feature. sorry that's not a solution. bit i feel your pain.

1. I use extended controls and enabling/disabling GPS on the home screen widget opens up the location settings menu (did not previously occur). Any thoughts? not huge issue but some what annoying.


2. restoring system apps from TB (namely gmail) seems to screw up some sort of system signage within the app. I fixed it by deleting my back up and the APK file. What causes this?
 
hmmm 1) I'm not sure why it would do that. maybe because the path to the widget is broken somehow so it takes you right to the settings? of you use a different home launcher like ADW you can make a custom shortcut. might help.

2) sometimes restoring data from one ROM to another can cause some funky bugs like that. you can try restoring with something else. like my backup root. or try a full install from titanium. backup on the current ROM. uninstall. and then reinstall. just a hunch.

i've had the worse time trying to reload v09. i was having data connectivity issue and random force closes from apps. i wipe everything to start fresh. and v09 has a problem. first off the setup wizard force closes when you pres finish setup and it refuses to enter the home screen. its just a black screen with the banner. second i load v08 then upgrade to v09 and i get an endless boot logo after using the . :-\

edit: oh and where the hell does nightlies download with the new toolbox?!?!
 
wow. that's really weird. i know this is probably a horrible pain in the ass, but you might have to sbf back to froyo, root, get on gingerbread, and upgrade from there. just to insure everything is clean. or try wiping to rooted gingerbread and install from 8 then 9.
