It was and I'm hoping a certain developer to pull a Batman and come out of retirement for the Nexus 5 (and/or 6).
Then again I understand why devs dont do a lot of roms. Too much headache for very little pay and a lot of complaining. It is like as soon as you kick out one rom another has to be behind it, and so on. All for maybe a few bucks if any.

Yeah there were several reason, But man google updates every darn month and trying to keep up was just too much, and they kept breaking everything
Im trying to decie on new phone, my g2 ear piece stopped working so all calls have to be speaker phone, but man both new nexus (nexi ?) are so underwhelming for me but i am kinda missing playing around.
Im still on kitkat
Yeah I think most everyone with unlimited was pissed off at first like most are with everything when prices go up. But when you sit and think about it , its still a decent deal compared to other prices on the top 2, and with 2 new nexuses on verizon ..If they actual work on verizon than its all ok.

Unfortunately, anyone with a legacy plan is not eligible for a line discount after their contract ends. Everything was a la carte. I tried looking for the discount some time ago for someone and it wasn't an option.
For those on the old More Everything plan, your post is correct. Once a contracted line is out of that contract, you must request this month-to-month discount. It is automatically applied when doing Edge/device payment. Those with the new Verizon Plan (S/M/L/XL/XXL) and on a 2yr contract will automatically receive the month-to-month discount once out of contract.
And really it is not just $20 more but $45 more... because given jackiescivic confirmation on the $25 discounted line not being eligible for the UD lines, then UD is actually costing $74.99 ($29.99 currently + $20 increase + the $25 additional line charge).
Still it's not necessarily a bad deal given I pay $80 for 15gb shared data + $15 line charge compared to $50 UD + $40 line charge.

Actually, the line charge on the old plan were always $9.99 when you had at least 2 lines. It equals $40 when you add in the $29.99 unlimited data, or $30 2GB.
So for example, if I had 700 minutes, 1,000 text, and unlimited data, my bill would look something like this:
Line 1
700 minutes - $50
1,000 text messages - $10
Email & Web Unlimited - $29.99
Line 2
Line access - $9.99
1,000 text messages - $10
Email & Web Unlimited - $29.99
So then in the rate plan guides you would only see them say $59.99 for 2 lines with 700 shared anytime minutes.
Thanks jackiescivic! We need you! Everyone needs to ignore everything I said. I now remember the 9.99 per line. That makes UD at $50 a very good deal. (Now I'm trying to remember how I went from that to $40 per line. I think that happened with the unlimited call/text.)
