Verizon is Rolling Out Marshmallow to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Finally)

Wondering if I need the sim to even update this thing or if it just hasn't hit my device? The fact that it says it's unavailable instead of telling me the phone is up to date leads me to believe the sim may be needed to update...

I am pretty sure I have updated the OS on a phone without a SIM before Jonny. I am almost positive i updated my wife's Moto X to Lollipop when there was no SIM. Maybe because this update has WiFi Calling, it is looking for a SIM?

I mean, the phone is asking for a sim, but it's always done that without one. You'd think any major tweaks would be done during the restart/install that would require you to not be connected to wifi. I'll try again later & or tomorrow. If nothing else, I'll pop my sim in there this weekend.

Working on my truck now. Kinda more important to have the fuel tank straps in place & functioning...haha

Glad to see them bringing some functionality from a newer device to an older one. Kind of a shame that it took so long though...

This was there previously, though it could be annoying to get it to work depending on what app you were using.

The screen off S-Note seems to have been as well, unless because of how it acts after it's installed I'm just not seeing it in apps anymore.

Anyway, took them long enough. If Google's scare tactics don't work this will likely be the last carrier direct device that I get. The update schedule is pathetic.
