Verizon officially announces the Verizon Galaxy Nexus by Samsung

Ok? Ummm jaja wat u mean by grandfatherd? Contract?

If you got unlimited before the 2gb cap law passed, you will forever have unlimited data as long as you remain a customer.

So if I get a new 2yr contract, I will have unlimited data vs someone new who would receive a 2gb data plan.

Wat really? So,we dnt really have reall unlimited?

Nope, it's clearly stated that $30/mo now gets you a 2gb data plan. It used to be unlimited plan, but it's changed since then. Check out the verizon website or when you get a new smartphone you're limited to 2gb. If you go over 2gb, you get charged for overages I believe.

Question kinda of topic but...
Say I use an upgrade from another line that doesn't have data to get this phone.
Can I then switch that same line back to a feature phone and not have to pay for data anymore?

When I have done this, on the website, it allows you to use your upgrade or transfer it to a different line. In store I'm sure they can make it happen too.

I have the unlimited plan, after you hit the 2gigs it's useless to stream music with, it cuts out about every 50 seconds. This is on 3g, no 4g in my area. The only good thing now about being grandfathered in you don't get charged any overage fees. For the majority of the year 2 gigs is more than enough data for me, but 3 or 4 months of the year I use 4 to 6. For the few months I would like to use more Verizon throttling back on the bandwidth makes it useless to me. The unlimited is smoke and mirrors it's really not all that useful, like it was just a year ago.

That's odd...well I don't stream music, but when I browse I'm fine. I hit roughly 2.6gb last month and at no point did I notice any cutting in and out of my 3g. Even when I tether my connection isn't dropped or anything. Guess I didn't get on the throttle list yet....

I go 10-20 G's a month right now because the little miracle in my pocket is my only internet source. I don't seem to notice the throttling as bad as TMo. Like the previous post I tether...I notice occasional drop while Skyping but that's all
