email isssues

1. group lists: I just switched over from Blackberry. How can I create group distribution lists?

2. deleting emails: how can I delete emails with one action?
My emails seem to re-appear in my trash file once initially deleted.
this causes twice the work on over 100 emails recd each day.

this seems to be causing my account to crash...which requires me to reset my email account settings frequently.

Can you also set the phone to delete both web-based primary email and on the handheld device....just like a blackberry?

very frustrating. so far, great web device, w terrrible email.

ok... I found another thread that states there isn't a calibrate on the Moto Droid, but the sensitivity will change if you add a screen protector.

I will give it a try :)

I could be wrong but I don't believe there is a need for "calibration" with capacitive screens. There were several reasons to calibrate resistive type touch screens (primarily to compensate for the pointing device and possible wear on the screen(s)) capacitive screens do not have these shortfalls. Other than a screen protector I don't think it would be possible to adjust the sensitivity either since it is more a function of the hardware for these screens.

If I'm wrong someone please correct. But this is my understanding of the technology in its current state (or rather last time I looked at it).

Hi, thanks for keeping up with us, and Happy New Year!

I have a question about the camera. If I take a photo in landscape/horizontal mode, when I transfer it to my computer, it comes out oriented correctly (proper side up). But if I take the picture in portrait/vertical orientation, when I view it on my computer, it comes out rotated 90 degrees sideways as if the camera were still in landscape mode.

In my settings, I have it set to scene mode "auto", not landscape or portrait, so it shouldn't be locked to landscape, but it seems to be.

When I lock the camera to portrait in scene mode in settings, it STILL shows as a landscape file when downloaded to my computer - rotated 90 degrees sideways

The weird thing is that when I view the photos in the Droid's photo viewer, they come out with proper orientation up. So the Droid knows what's supposed to be the proper side up. But when they get sent out, it all defaults to landscape.

Is there a setting I'm missing or a way that makes this work other than manually rotating them in a photo editor?

It's really frustrating, as most of the photos I take are portrait/vertical orientation, and I'd like to upload them straight to facebook without first downloading and editing them to the proper orientation.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Sorry, never got any replies about this. Anyone have and info on this, please?

Congrats you are the 1000th post on page 100 in this thread! :woot:

my phone will not show a voice mail notification if the phone has been powered off while the voice mail came. I would like to know what could cause this, I don't want to have to go check for voice mail everytime I have had my phone powered down to save the battery . Thanks, Dad

It IS compatible. Did you try another USB slot,
and did you let 7 install the drivers?

You also want to make sure you drag down the notification bar and click on the USB message to mount the device. I use it on Windows 7 as well.
