Verizon's Motorola Droid DOES include MultiTouch and Pinch & Zoom

The cool thing about this Gallery program is is does it both ways. You can have it your way. I too don't care about the pinch and zoom, but being able to just swipe thru all the pics is very handy and intuitive.

I just today noticed my droid does the pinch to zoom while browsing the internet using dolphin browser. I do like the feature while browsing.
It's an awesome phone.

A few people with the new 2.0.1 update are saying the keyboard is now MT. At a minimum they are saying it is so much faster it acts like it is.

I only wish I could type fast enough to be able to tell the difference.

I ran through the manual update this morning and can definitely confirm that the virtual keyboard is much faster now. One of my gripes was that I could easy type too fast but now it really keeps up.

agreed on the virtual keyboard much faster. i can type much easier now. it doesn't have multi touch yet as i can't hold caps key in one finger and type on another. but it's much better for now.

No as this is a limitation of Verizon's network.

Verizon's CDMA does not let you use data while on a call.

One doesn't have anything to do with the other. As Picsay and Dolphin have proven, Multi-touch IS on the phone, it's just not part of the native apps. The API in the SDK has the capability to let third party developers use Multi-touch, Google/Motorola just choose NOT to implement it in THEIR software. I'm pretty sure you'll see a multi-touch keyboard soon, but some folks think this latest one may already be multi-touch. I'm so slow at typing on my phone that I don't notice the difference.

Heres hoping that Opera Mobile 10 will have support for multi-touch.
