Verizon's New Data Plans & Unlimited Grandfathered Reaffirmed in Training Doc Leak

Some people in that fatwallet thread seem to be saying that you need an Android plan (it won't work with BB or iPhone or whatever) but I think they're wrong, it just has to be 3G.

Someone linked to this cheapo winMo smartphone, but it's not 3G so it doesn't fly.

I think the best one i've seen is this

Call me stupid. But looking at the attachments it says " indirect sales " maybe for ppl that purchase away from Verizon retail?

Feel bad for those people who settled for the Thunderbolt in order to "lock in" unlimited data lol.

for the smarter people out there than me, the 2gb plan says $15 for business email. my current unlimited plan I think says that too, but I never been charged for that. I use Outlook on my D1. What differentiates "Business Email" from using my Outlook to sync my work email?

It's confusing, but I believe this is for companies that have Verizon host their email. Your email is either hosted by your company on Exchange or another party and it's just normal data traffic for Verizon so there is no additional charge for it.

I don't see anything that says employee discounts on private lines will be going away.

I would like some more clarification from Verizion, not speculation from a so-called leaked email.

There are two different discounts. One is a corporate discount on the VOICE plan (this discount percentage varies depending on employer). The second is a corporate discount on the DATA plan (this is generally 20%, but I have heard some people have gotten different percentages).

For example, the corporate discount for my employer is 21% on voice, 20% on data. Under the new rules, I will still get the 21% on the voice plan, but the data plan would only be eligible for the 20% discount if I signed up for the $50 data plan.

What of this is bull crap? And Verizon is just trying to get more customers. What would be the advantage of having a tiered plan? None. "So everybody better hurry and get locked into a contract now to be grandfathered in!" Hook, line and sinker.

I'm currently eligible for my early upgrade and here's my questions.

If I wait until after the 7th and use my upgrade do I get to keep my unlimited data?

If I go month to month, would I lose it?

Also, what's up with employee discounts. I currently have a discount on my account and its going to suck if it goes away.

U can be month to month and u will still be grandfathered later on. U will not have your discount on your 29.99 unlimited data because u need to be on the minimum of the 50.00 data plan to receive a discount on the data...

So, people would rather leave than stay grandfathered to an unlimited data plan on the superior network? I hope that Evo3D (or whatever) is worth it to you.
