By citing the car example, you've opened my eyes.
That's a big annoyance of mine.
When I bought my car, the dealer had a branded license plate frame on the car.
"What's that?"
"We give everyone a free frame!"
"OK, well I want another $500 off the price of the car for advertising for you"
"Uh.. Well... Hey porter! Let's get this frame off the car!"


I still don't mind VZW on my phone...but I get why it annoys some now

Reminds me when I was growing up and dad use to demand the dealer decal be removed from the car before he would buy it.

I don't care about the logo, that's actually the least intrusive VZ logo I've experienced on a device. As long as it can get timely updates from Google, that's the only important thing.
