We know many of our members are on Verizon and several of you own the awesome Samsung Galaxy Note 4, so these folks might be delighted by this news. Verizon just announced that the rollout of Android 5 Lollipop for that device will start today.

Big Red didn't make it clear which version of Android 5.x this is, but it is build number build VRU1BOAF. Besides the usual "stuff" you find with Lollipop, this update also adds the following:
  • Notification interaction on the lock screen
  • Smart Lock
  • Do Not Disturb mode (removing Blocking Mode)
  • Floating action buttons in apps (including in Messaging and Calendar apps)
  • New S Health widgets
  • Slow motion and fast motion camera modes
  • VoLTE/Advanced Calling 1.0
The update starts rolling out today, but as usual, it will move in waves, so if you don't see it immediately, just sit tight for a few days.

Here's the Verizon link with the details: VZW

Probably a slow controlled roll out. In case a bug is discovered. They don't want another thunderbolt issue.

Not that I've gotten an update on this phone that didn't show up on its own, but not sure I've seen this message before when checking...?
