Virtual Steve Jobs Gets Kicked in the Face in New Optimus Pad Promo Video

Next person who uses the word douche, can have 3 days off from the forum. And when I look at that video I hope for whomever posted it the language is squeaky clean.

czerdrill and poontab. stay away from each other, I swear both of you act like little kids when you get in the same forum.

What did I do? Jeez while being (subtly) flamed & everything. Well hook lets hope the next LG ad is an ablution hitting Jobs in the face.

Whether you like the kick or not, whether it is immature or not, it's a advertising strategy that works.

When you see a commercial, what the company selling the product wants you to do is remember it.

Whether you like it or not, if you remember it by something unique or stupid or random, you will talk about it or think about it.

For instance, this thread showing the LG Optimus Pad would not be here and would not have this many people looking at the video had it not had the kick. The kick gets the commercial out. "Hey did you see that LG commercial where Steve gets kicked?" You talk about with people. Get it into their head. And with commercials like these, they get people it the loop through things in them. Then discussions (or arguments) like these ensue and more people talk about them. Then people see the thread has a lot of replies so people check out the commercial and learn about the LG Optimus Pad. Then they tell their friends about how awesome it looks.

It's just the way it works. Companies just try to get in your head with advertisement.

I can give you an example of this in connection to my life today even. Co-worker was talking about that random Mentos commercial with the spider throwing the guy against the wall and how stupid it was. Now whenever I think about commercials, a big MENTOS pops up.

A part of me doesn't know if I should laugh or cringe, as the video is both funny and tasteless. I'm torn. Help me figure this one out by posting what you think in the forums after you check out the video.

Laugh. Definitely. I mean who doesn't want to drop kick Steve Jobs in the face? :)
