Hey all,
Question about upgrading my phone. I'm interested in buying the Samsung fascinate, and I see that amazon has it for 99.99 dollars if I am extending my two year contract, as the primary account holder. However, it costs 149.99 for the non-primary account holder. My mom (the primary account), and I are both up for new phones. Can I purchase the phone using her account, and then simply go into the store and have them switch it to my phone number? Just trying to save 50 dollars if possible.
Thanks!
Adam
I just read up on the 4G rollout on the VZW website. It said that 4G would be rolling out in major cities "soon". I live about 2 hours north of Pittsburgh, one of the cities that is getting the 4G rollout first. My question is, when will my next closest major city to Pittsburgh get the rollout?
Thanks!
Is a phone with nicked corners enough physical damage to prevent me being able to get a new phone. My screen is black and have tried a bunch of fixes with no luck. Phone is less than a year old.
not chunks taken out or anything, just small abrasions to a couple of the corners

Its difficult to say without seeing the phone and "nicks/abrasions". Have you taken it to a store yet? At what point exactly did the screen go out?
Question about phone upgrades. It says on my account that "You are eligible to upgrade your device at discounted pricing now and will be eligible to receive an additional New Every Two discount on 2/28/11"
What does this mean exactly?
Can somebody explain how transferring line upgrades works with Verizon?
I have three lines on a family share plan, of which mine is the only smartphone. I purchased a BlackBerry Tour 9630 in December as it was the best global phone available at the time and I was staying in Canada for school. Now that I'm back in the United States I would like to switch to Android (most likely waiting for the Terminator or one of the LTE phones) but my line isn't eligible for an upgrade until August 2011. Both of the other lines have upgrades available, including the primary line with the discounted price and $100 credit.
Verizon's website says I can transfer either of those upgrades to my line, but I'm a little bit confused on what that actually does for my contract. The two-year extension would be on the line that I'm transferring the upgrade from, correct? If so, how does that work with the data plan? I would be replacing the BlackBerry so my line would remain the only one with a smartphone on it. I wouldn't be charged for data on both the new phone and the BlackBerry would I?
