Is there still and active rep here?

My question is i talked to a rep on the phone abut a month ago about activating a phone i bought straight up and at the time the lady said i could upgrade my line and my wife's early for the 2yr upgrade plan price is there anyway to find out if that still stands?

Yea I once an upgrade is available then its on the account untill you use it. Prices might change depending on the deals going on.

Oooh... There was a holiday promotion offering upgrades early to people not eligible, but that ended november 25th... log into your myverizon acct and check what it says for upgrade and contract dates.

I'm not elligible for a Certified-like-new-replacement Droid 1 anymore, but my friend, who got his Droid 1 after I did is still elligible.

Would it be possible for him to activate my old beat-up Droid under his account, and get a CLNR for me? Does Verizon keep track of Serial numbers for our phones to prevent this? Thanks a bunch to any verizon reps who can answer back.

oh yeah, once you activate yours on his it will say CE(customer provided equipment) and that will void the warrantee

What's your personal procedure when given a rooted phone for a hardware problem?

haha.

But seriously. I have two people on a family plan that wish to get off of it now because of where they moved to. They have bad service since its way out in the sticks and want to change to something else that they know works out there (US Cellular) They are in 1 year of the two year contract. The etf would be 115 right now. Will customer service, verizon, or whoever let you pay the etf in payments? 115 isnt that much, but then again it is when you include all other bills too, it is. If you can make payments, do you have any estimate of what they might be? Im sure if they could do 2 months it would be no problem. Thanks a bunch.

Do an assumption of liability. Basically find someone to take ownership of the lines. There is no early termination fee. Great way to save money and no penalty.

So that works for anyone? I didnt realize thats how it worked, though i never really read much up on it. I could def do it that way. That would be really nice. Appreciate the answer, thanks!

Requirements are... must be 18, account can't be past due. Account owner calls customer service and gives "AOL Authorization." Account owner must read customer agreement found at bottom of VZW.com before authorization. After authorization is done. The person assuming the line(s) calls in and takes over the line. Only thing that does not transfer over to the new account is the manufacturer warrantee.
