The white bit on the back of a cell phone is the water damage indicator correct? If it has seen moisture it gets red X's?

My droid is a bit over a week old and has never even been close to water, and its got red X on the little white thing under the battery cover. Whats up with that?

Same here, My baby has never even been in my bathroom when I shower...

That is a tricky question. I would think not but if it can fog up your mirror...

I'm pretty sure its suppose to be a solid red if water hits it...
That would make sense because thinking on it, I don't think I've ever had a phone that didn't have the red x. Maybe I should go throw my old BB in the sink and find out! lol

I too have red x's, but mine has been in the bathroom during a hot shower.
Maybe someone whose gotten there's wet will respond.

I think the red X's are supposed to bleed into the white background making the entire indicator pink, at least that's how it used to work.

Yea mine is bright red on the back of my droid, but also has not been near water and have no problems with the phone. The one on the battery itself is fine. I have issues with the battery door popping off at random, so I wonder if while I was at the gym the other day and it popped off it got a bit of sweat on it... I hope verizon doesn't gig me if the phone ever breaks...

Red x with white around it - no water.

Totally red circle - water exposure.

:)

Look I just want to know if my phone is pregnant or not..

Why couldn't they just do smiley or frowning faces!
