This one is a major update for those of us on the older watches adding new tiles as well as faces and apps . If you're using Galaxy Buds , a Flip or a Fold phone there's even more added for interaction between them .
More info here BREAKING: Galaxy Watch 5 starts getting stable One UI 5 Watch update
I'll add screen shots later of the new tiles . I'm looking forward to the new timer tile as it is supposed to let you have as many as 20 timers open at once .I don't need that many but I do often use more than 1 at once when cooking .
They say this one should use Wi-Fi when updating .

It used a little over 30% of my battery and took about 30 minutes from start to finish .
If you're using the side loaded blood pressure monitor app on your watch you'll need to continue to do so AND Samsung has taken away the ability to set a tile for it so you'll have to open the app itself now .
The Gallery app looks different and a little easier to use as it breaks things down better .
The quick panel looks slightly different with more possible info by tapping the arrow at the top . No biggie for most but it's there .
Apps folder is a nice addition so we can now put apps we don't use but can't delete ,aka bloatware , to clean up the app drawer .
The charging screen is now green instead of white , much easier on the eyes in the dark . I haven't dove into the developer settings to see if that can be changed to red , which is even easier on the night vision .

Little was said about it but the universal gestures may be the biggest upgrade for those of us who wear ginormous gloves at work , or elsewhere or if your fingers are wet .
I'm still trying to figure out three best way to make use of it but so far I have set tap screen to wake THEN twist my wrist twice to enter gesture mode , pinch for app drawer open , double pinch to back up a screen . I'm not sure what "tap" is but they suggested using it for single make a fist . It seems to do nothing . Double fist opens up a screen that I'm also not quite sure what it does yet .
Time will tell if they finally fixed the overheat on LTE bug but I highly doubt it .
Edit . The overheat bug is actually worse as it overheated in seconds instead of minutes when attempting LTE alone with craptacular reception .

I have an issue after updating. I have a SM-R875U...Watch 4 LTE.
After updating to UI5 I notice that I'll raise my wrist to look at watch and the screen will be blank. I can tell the screen is on but it's just black. If I swipe right to go back, it will show my home screen/watch face. I have tried to figure out what is open or what I am swiping out of with no luck.
Anyone else have this issue?

I had to reboot my watch a couple of times before it settled down and began to work correctly .

Google , in their quest to protect us from ourselves removed wireless debugging from developer options as well as breaking the side loaded version of the bp and ecg app. The above link is how to get it back .
Make sure no other devices (such as Bluetooth headphones ) are connected when following the instructions AND make sure you follow every detail to the letter (watch the video help area ) and if you've set up any folders anywhere on your watch the side load will may drop itself there . If it doesn't show up in your app drawer look in your folders .
Be aware , it uses a crap ton of battery to do this as ADB debugging , WIFI on , and Bluetooth on , sucks the energy away quickly . I started with 70+ percent and it drained down to less than 35 percent .
