Welcome to the Droid RAZR M Forums!!

My only hesitancy about this phone at this point is that I keep reading the camera is actually worse than the latest iterations of Moto's cameras. So I'm hoping to get some hands on usage with it to find out if there's any truth to that. I'm used to making sure I'm a statue when I shoot with a Moto camera, so if it's no different, that's fine by me. But if it's worse...

Hey Tis, Did you receive the M yet? Curious to know if what jnt said is right? That would be a bummer. I hope it isnt something that would be a common problem with this new series of phones..But good to know now than later..Always nice to hear the good..the bad..and the ugly..lol

No, still waiting. The camera will be one of the first things I check out... side by side to my Razr.

I talked to them yesterday to see if it had been sent yet (and to make sure they weren't trying to appease me with no real intentions of sending me an M). She said it would be shipped Fed-ex and that it hasn't shipped yet and wasn't sure when it would be??? I told her I participated in a forum where others were patiently waiting to hear my thoughts on the M. She thought that was awesome. Maybe it will be more incentive to send me the phone sooner, lol! But it's free and I didn't make it to the event so I am just happy to still get it for free, even if it takes awhile.

Yes, I entered their contest and won the invite to attend but unfortunately had a very expensive meeting I could not miss. I let them know I could not make it so they could open the invite to someone else. Of course when I was finally able to watch the event, I discovered that I also missed out on receiving the free Razr M. I called the next day to see if I could still get it even though I was not able to attend and received an email later that day that they would send me a free M.

No HDMI - thought that was a deal breaker for me but I just read about using an MHL adapter. I passed by the Resound because it lacked an HDMI port but I now see one can use an MHL adapter with most of the new phones (NOTE: THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 REQUIRES AN 11 PIN (vs. 5 pin) MHL ADAPTER!) This us good news as I qualify for my 2 yr. phone upgrade & I'm no longer stuck on the HDMI feature <happy me>.

Like most everyone else here, I don't even use the HDMI output. Lol but it is a cool feature to have, not gunna lie.

I've been looking at the razr m, and the galaxy nexus trying to decide which to get. They are both $99 on verizon site. What you guys/gals think, galaxy nexus or razr m?

Hows the camera? Can u post a pic taken with the phone...just curious how good or bad it is...

It's similar to the Maxx. Maybe a tad faster in well-lit conditions. But no better or worse in my usage so far. Low-light (when the flash has to be enabled) kinda sucks... but that's nothing new with Moto.
