Welcome to the Project Elite GNex section!

I'm having a strange issue, seems to happen across all 4.2.2 ROMs I've recently tried, not just this one. When playing music tracks, upon resuming play and sometimes when it changes to the next track, the first micro second plays extremely loud with headphones. High performance audio isn't enabled. Anyone else experiencing this?

Still loving the smoothness of this ROM! Unbelievable!

Personally I've never noticed this, I use the Google Music app nearly every day. My only difference is I use the audio fix over on xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1748803]

This ROM is running absolutely amazing. Everything is smooth, with no bugs at all. Also definitely very responsive. Thanks for all your hard work! I'm loving the ROM

Edit: My bad

Have been running this for a few days now and I have to say it is running so nice. For whatever reason this rom plays music so much better then any other ROM i have ever been on. This is huge for me. This alone is making this rom my new daily driver and might end my crack flashing habit all together. And to top it all of it is so fast! Thanks!!

This is not going to change my opinion on your great work you have here but I was just wondering if it's something other people would be interested in or if you, Buck or Greg, are. Could you add the ability to change the rate and color of the notification light in PE. It makes it nice to have different colors to notify me for different apps so I know what I'm opening my phone up for plus speeding up our slow blinker is a must, I think. Thanks for all your hard work! I'm loving the ROM

settings - display - notification light - *facepalm*

New build up. Quite a few tweaks/additions to MMS, phone, and contacts. A lock screen performance tweak and new kernel updated with fix for pausing while using high performance audio.

Hey Buck which of the two kernels do you prefer?

To be honest i only recently started keeping up on the Linux merged kernel and i only run it for a day or so to make sure there are no problems with it. I prefer the kernel without the Linux merges right now because i know that it is the most compatible with source built ROMs because it is based on the aosp kernel source that matches with the aosp ROM source. This is why the ROM is built with the non-merged kernel.

Also an FYI. I build 2 versions of my kernel, one with Linux kernel merges and the other without(pure aosp source base). The one packaged with the ROM is the one WITHOUT the Linux merges. The Linux merged kernel is up to kernel version 3.0.66 and is available for download here: http://projectelite.net/actngrezy/jb-mr1/kernels/Buck/Linux 3.0.x/

Tried this kernel as well and Wifi MAC is still resetting :(

Edit: No such problem with LeanKernel FYI.

I looked at the code.in the kernel for the Mac address and it is unaltered from aosp source so unfortunately the behavior you are seeing is the default behavior from aosp. Do you have same results with other kernels such as imoseyons lean kernel?

Lean Kernel doesn't have that issue and I don't recall experiencing it on Faux and Trinity either. The stock CarbonRom also generates random MAC addresses too.

Take a look at this thread. May give you some insight. Ill look to see if there is a fix elsewhere. My kernel code for Mac address is identical to imoseyons and morfics and to the code posted in this thread.

EDIT: also doing some more reading it also appears to be a hw issue with some users. The only way to fix that particular hw problem is to replace the device. That was directly from Samsung as well in the thread i read.
