I think their may be a misunderstanding going on between you and VZ. I am not sure if you talked to someone on the phone but if they were any good they would know about a simple warranty. It would be ridiculous to presume that since they are out of stock they cant warranty it and to just buy another phone. That is why a warranty is in place, if you buy a new phone and it has a manufacturing defect (stops charging) then it can be replaced within a year (Manufactures warranty). Any VZW rep would know this. It doesn't make sense to refund and buy another phone. Just walk into the actual VZW store and tell them whats going on, they are very reasonable, which doesn't really matter since a warranty is a pretty solid policy. If they are out of stock then they will give you a phone of equal worth.... I would figure VZ isn't out of stock on incredible 2 because they were advertising that like crazy on Black Friday but if they are then they will give you a different phone. I would figure though that VZW will send you a box, you put your phone in the box and they send you another phone back. If they even send you a certified like new one. They prolly have a good stock of new ones still. Who did your wife talk to about this? because whomever they are they obviously don't know about VZW and their policies. Even the noob new hires at vzw would know this (They get training). Maybe you guys have this through best buy or something? (They are not VZW)VZW has no customer service skills at all. a girl i know is leaving vzw due to a super sh*tty upgrade experience. She bought the Red Inc2 and it stopped charging, vzw has no red in stock anywhere(or so they told her), and they wont switch her to the black inc2 because "color counts as a different phone". she is still within the 14day window, but they give her no help. Just a "pay $35 restocking fee and then buy another phone". so she paid the $35, opted out of upgrading and resigning the 2year contract renewal and is cancelling.
