What have YOU done with Tasker?

Do you want the sound to stop when you clear the notification?

Yes. I am on call daily for work, and when they call, I need to call them back in 20 minutes. But if my phone is on ring, and I dont hear it, I never know to go look to see if I have a missed call.

There is an app called "Missed Call" that will do this for you......

Ive heard of that app, but also heard it doesnt work well on 2.2 Android, and the development on the app seems to have stopped

Nice to know I'm not the only one with this "wifi on" problem. Can someone post the full updated walkthrough or edit the Tasker wiki?

As soon as I found this profile I set it up for 3 "home" locations and now I'm so lost as to what works and what doesn't, so it'd be nice to start fresh.

Thanks.

Right now I am still testing the solution. This morning I did see the issue again.

The wiki is update minus the changes I am testing.

Edit: I forgot to test the %WIFIC variable addition that I mentioned above and will test it again tomorrow morning when I leave the house.

Thanks for working on this issue, anxiously waiting for solution.

Ok I added the exit context and for three trips leaving my house I haven't had the issue.

On the wifi near profile
add an exit task - New Task - ok - "+" - Net - WiFi - Off - If %WIFIC matches 0

Does anyone have a simple profile that will notify me ever 2 minutes with a notification sound, of missed calls?

Do you want the sound to stop when you clear the notification?

Yes. I am on call daily for work, and when they call, I need to call them back in 20 minutes. But if my phone is on ring, and I dont hear it, I never know to go look to see if I have a missed call.

Here you go
New - Name it "Missed Call" - Ok - Event - Phone - Missed Call - Done
New Task - ok - "+" - Variable - Variable Set - %MCCLEAR to 0 - Done
"+" - Media - Music Play - Pick your sound - Done
"+" - Tasker - Wait - 2 minutes - Done
"+" - Tasker - Stop - If %MCCLEAR matches 1 - Done
"+" - Tasker - Goto Action - 2 - Done - Done

New - Name it "Missed Call Clear" - Ok - Application - Contacts - Done
New Task - Ok - "+" - Variable - Variable Set - %MCCLEAR to 1 - Done - Done - Apply

OK Nebula I just changed from your old wifi profile to the new one with the connected? profile.

When I am at home and connected to my wifi my Home and Connected? profiles are on but not my wifi on one...this doesn't seem normal, I don't know why the wifi on one won't turn on? I'm pretty sure everything is set up right.

I'm sure it's something on my end, just don't know what.

Speaker Phone = Screen on

I want to make a profile that keeps the screen on when speaker phone is active, anyone know if Tasker can do that?

Thanks in advance for help!

I have read through this thread, and if there is a tasker context for this, I've missed it.

I want to silence the phone ringer by either tapping the phone or hitting screen lock button. Can I do that?

Hi, does anybody know how to create a profile to, say, pop up a notification every two weeks? Or the first Monday of every month? Can't for the life of me figure out how to repeat a time period outside of twelve hours.

Thanks in advance!

Also, anyone else having problems with %LOC? I did a search on the forum but can't find anything related to it here...

Thanks!

Do you have the %home to 0 command at the exit of the wifi near profile?

If so that could be your issue. You phone might be losing the router for a small amount of time and therefore the Wifi near profile turns off and disables one of the things it needs and won't reenable it until you leave the cell near area.

I'm still having some minor issues I am working on like this. I hope I can finally debug it completely this week. My next idea is going to be to disable and reenable the cell near profile if wifi off is triggered.

Ok I think it's working correctly. When I'm home my connected, home, a wifi on profiles are on. When I'm away from my cell near sites I have no active profiles, and when I'm near my cell sites but not connected to my Wifi I have the home profile on and it looks like it scans but shuts off if it's not in range of my router (haven't really tesed this too much yet). This seems right, correct me If something isn't.

Now it just seems that my Wifi off profile is never active, please let me know if this is how it should be.
