what job supports your Droid?

I own a design firm and use my Droid for everything . . . emails, scheduling, checking proofs, calendar, etc. My fiance owns a flower shop and uses the Droid for email and google nav for deliveries. We use Google Goggles to scan business cards of clients (which is a fun way to wow them), Gestures is a great way to look up a contact easily . . . I could go on and on about how the Droid has helped out in our businesses.

So what kind of job do you have that you use your Droid for? Is there any apps that help you do your job alittle easer? This should be a good thread...

I'm a pilot for JetBlue Airways. The Droid has been perfect as it will access most of our secure areas on our company intranet for looking at your flight plans, trading trips, moving days off, weather, etc.

The push exchange email works perfect and is very fast.

During times of bad weather and extensive delays, the company sends out multiple emails during the day to update us on what is going. A phone with a good email feature is a must, for me anyway.

Craig

Plus Im sure you count on the GPS, compass, Nav and other such features/apps to assist in your pilot duties ;)

Same as cpinto, though in the helicopter arena, at least I can make/take calls in the air: ) wx apps, hitting sites for latest notams, and I even use mobile duats on occasion.

I also do IT as well, and it's wesome for that!

I repair test equipment for the Government. So having a resistor calculator and unit converter is amazing. Other than that it keeps me awake during boring tests. Couldn't imagine life without it. :icon_ banana:

I work at Verizon, so my Droid is often also my demo phone... whats great though is I can have it out, and using it at all times without ever being bugged to hide my phone or put it away- apparently customers seeing me use it is supposed to help sell it :)

lol...well it worked for me...lol..

Network engineer, email, subnet calculator, and soon I'll get a bluetooth serial interface for accessing the console ports on my switches/routers.

I work for a Xerox-owned printer company and am responsible for internal IT. I was supplied with a Blackberry with unlimited everything but in my opinion they just suck. I use my Droid for Exchange email, MotoTorch if I'm under a desk or in the server room with a lack of light. Used the Bubble level tool a couple times, lol the camera for taking pictures of jack numbers/computer insides. I use the VNC viewer app for accessing a server controlled monitors in various rooms, Notes app for...notes. The biggest thing I use it for (in the workplace) is the browser, specifically Google. Nothing beats being anywhere and being able to look up information on the fly. The rest of the time I use it for personal use (music, games, web browsing, porn lol). Awesome phone; I've felt like such a phone junkie ever since I got it. :)

I use my droid to get around our company Sonicwall aka :icon_evil:Firewall:icon_evil:. It's my personal websurfer, so nothing is logged in my work computer. To them it looks like I just sit on this forum all day...

I'm a Fed and the gument supplies me w/ pretty much the latest technology so I don't use my Droid at all for work.

I buy those 600.00 hammers you hear tell about. Actually for a DOD spec'd hammer 600 would be a bargain. I routinely by washers (tightest dim. tolerance a half an inch) that run 2400.
