What Pets Do You Have?

My Blue Pit...and despite what people think he LOVES dogs. Very playful and never has shown aggression to even the smallest dogs.

Actually the little dogs attack him and he runs lol. no joke
My fiance's father has a brown and white pit. He looks buff as hell like he is ready to kick everyones ass but all he wants to do is lay at your feet or on your lap and lick you and get pet. GREAT dog.

Prince, my male Sheltie, has a penchant for laying under the AC vents on his back, looking an awful lot like roadkill...our alert to each other is "Dead Dog! Dead Dog!"

Our cats like to lay on the bed in front of the window unit in the summer. They fight for it. In winter, they ALL like to get on the bed. Not that the wife and I mind in the winter...

We have Uno - American Eskimo mini. Weighs about 25 pounds and is cool as long as the kids don't get him all riled up.

I think huge cats are awesome. Whether they are just big or even if they are fat, I think they are hilarious. Fat cats are cool.
Most of the cats that have had me for a pet were fairly robust. My first Siamese, Furp, was 15 lbs. My current crop: Bob Cat, 19lbs. Piper (also Manx tendencies, short-tail tabby) is about 18 lbs. NayNay is about 9, maybe 10 lbs (cold weather has her eating like a horse!) They aren't especially fat, either. Bob and Piper, being neutered, have the usual flab around the belly, but are QUITE strong, and agile to boot. Bob is the rounder of the two. NayNay is sleek, and is so black that she absorbs all light, so pics of her are usually like the above "Godfather Kitty" pic, or just two glowing, almondine eyes on a black field.

NayNay got some tuna as a special treat the other morning (all 3 cats did, they love it!), and as a token of her love for her family, promptly went outside and got a hummingbird, which she proudly presented to my wife. Wife promptly got sick. I was called to dispose of the "present", or "trophy"...damn hummingbirds are FAST! We have no idea how Nay got it, but she was only out for 15 mins or so. NayNay is a mighty hunter, for sure! And for a cat to bring home its freshly killed prey to the family is the ultimate act of love in the feline world...I just hate when it's at night and she drops it in the bed with us...:icon_eek:

My cat couldn't care less about Tuna but he is a hog when it comes to beef jerky, pork rinds, and machaca (shredded, dried beef)

Heh...Bob knows when Dad has pizza, ice cream, cheese, and comes around to stand on me until I give up some treats! Damn cat eats pepperoni, sausage, pineapple, black olives off the pizza, loves ice cream, eats extra sharp cheddar or pepper jack...

Had another cat that went bonkers over papaya. Seriously. I bought a papaya at the store, sliced it half, cleaned the first half over the sink, turned to grab the second half, and...saw it disappearing around the corner. It was a big one too, prolly weighed half of what the cat weighed. He growled and hissed at me, wouldn't let me near "his" prize, and swiped at me when I tried to get it. I let him eat his fill. He had jumped up on the counter to get it, and jumped down with it. That was only the first of many "papaya express" sightings from that cat. He got so bad that I had to put him in the bathroom whenever I got a papaya! Of course, I had to share a little with him as well.

My dogs like to eat cold grapes in the summer, it's hilarious!
