What should I trade in my Thunderbolt for?

Seriously, just get an iPhone.

Android is a mess right now. Between the fragmentation and the phone manufacturers who halfthrow android on a handset without any regard to the user experience. They ditch their customers and go off working on the next Droid or Incredibolt. Your stuck with a gimped phone that is end of life in a few months.

When is the last time HTC or Moto put out a little bug fix update to their phones ??? Exactly.

Sent from my Droid using DroidForums and waiting for my upgrade date to come so I can go back to ios with open arms

I went from iphone to droid, droid 2 and now have a tbolt. I appreciate apple but its like night and day. I dont miss the iphone one bit and my tbolt is running good. The battery issue is there but you can improve it by getting and extended battery, and you can make it a non factore by setting screen off profiles and getting rid of bloat.
Op I suggest you decide what you want in a phone. If you came from an iphone then get a vzw iphone. When I went from iphone to droid i spent 2 weeks complaining about all the things my iphone did that my droid didnt. It was when I realized that the droid is not an iphone and I either need to see what the droid can do or go get an iphone. I have watched android evolve into a beast in the past 2 years. 1.5 years ago dolphin broweser was the big thing on the droid because of pinch to zoom. Now I am doing all kinds of stuff with android and I am looking to ride the wave. Because android is evolving daily we will see hiccups on the way. Every android device released had something that someone wish the oem would improve on. At one time people complained about the d1 battery life. Ios has its flaws as well but instead of having an apple v android debate I suggest you find what device and os you prefer and go with that. We have a solid iphone forum with members willing to offer assistance: iPhone Forum

Don't let the OP deter you!

(I get about 6-8 hours when I've refrained from charging it during the day, to see how long it would really last without a recharge), but you also may decide that you really love it!

+111111!!!

I'll go one step further on battery life... I REGULARLY got 15-16 hours out of mine on one charge by simply using the mobile data toggle widget. Off when in my pocket, on whenever I need it. It takes like two seconds to connect and then I'm browsing. And that was BEFORE I rooted and underclocked.
Now its not uncommon for me to get 20 hours, since my CPU is underclocked when my screen is off. Googleaddict, DON'T GIVE UP ON THE THUNDERBOLT!!!

dont take this the wrong way but this is just dumb. I dont know why anyone would be dumb enough to even consider getting a phone that you cant get at least 24 hours with everything turned on and with normal usage.

Can you name any? Smartphone, that is... my 2001 Star-TAC doesn't count...:p BTW, I don't disagree completely; the TB battery life is less than ideal... but my point is that there is a very valid workaround, as long as you don't mind NOT having your emails pushed to your phone 24/7. Push the button, have all of your data DL'd to your phone (email, sports scores, etc etc,) and then turn the data off. If you want up-to-the-second email push AND lengthy battery life, get a Blackberry Curve...

yeah.... any blackberry, any iphone, my OG droid gets about 36 hours, my droid X gets over 24 hours, most Palm devices. Im sure there are more but these are the only ones i have personal experience with.

and this is with everything on... wifi, BT, GPS. The only thing i do to conserve battery is have the brightness set to auto.

I do need emails and other items pushed to my phone immediately as i run multiple businesses.
