What's for dinner?

I'm trying to change my eating. I been eating bad all my life. Time for a change. @cr6 and @94lt1 had a thread a health thread and @cr6 was big about cooking and eating right. I am finding that he was right in how much money you actually can save both initially from the cost of meals eating in vs out and of course overall in health.

I gotta eat out, it is healthier for me, safer for me, and cheaper for me. since it is just me right now, my cooking would put me in the emergency room regularly :-) I am one of the few that can even burn water. Last time I boiled water, the nest smoke alarm went off. I had a heck of a time getting it to turn off...

My specialty is 10 minute hard boiled eggs. Oops.

found I can get them already hard boil at the local grocery :-) what I thought was interesting is Walmart has the 6 for 1.98 while freds has them 2 for 3.74...and freds advertise about being cheap...

back to the topic...

I had a nice cheese burger and sweet tea for dinner from a local family restaurant...it sure did hit the spot.

Aah, but grasshopper, 2 is cheaper at 3.74 than 6 at 1.98. I get a bad case of the burps when I eat 5-6 eggs, absolutely fine eating 3-4. So the twofer deal is so much better. If I had 6 I'd eat all 6.......buuuuuuurp. Now I need me some jalapeno deviled eggs.

oops, turkey and stuffing.

who said anything about eating them all at once :-) they make nice snacks when having the munchies since they are already cooked.

A crock pot full of home made, slow cooked chili. Dee-licious.

Let's keep the pics and ideas of home cooked meals coming in.
