What's this feature & has it been ported?

This is from the HTC Desire's browser, but the all I know about this feature is from what I see in this viideo. Any one know more info, (what its called, or has it been ported?).

It starts at 1:08 in the video. Its a search/copy paste, thingamajig.

We definitely need that on the Droid. Quite an amazing feature. Right now you need to open the keyboard then trickily hold ALT while your drag your nail around the text.

Directly from the iPhone unfortunatly... I dont see this going very far

Going very far? Its already on the Android OS. Anyone else have any news on this feature?
