Amen....Hetfield still gets it. Last album was a badass concert.

Hetfield "is" Metallica - he's what sets them apart in my opinion... one of the best metal (if not all) frontmen ever. And strictly as a musician, I haven't seen too many thrash/speed metal guitar players that can play some of the more complicated riffs (especially their early stuff) and sing at the same time. I know they're out there, but it's always impressed me.

Just my opinion but Dave Mustaine is a much more talented front man and Megadeth has stayed a lot closer to their roots - you don't want to hear my opinion on Metallica

lol, probably not... I could debate you on the first point, but don't disagree at all that Mustaine is uber talented. And clearly Metallica got far away from their roots, but a part of me liked the fact they tried some different stuff - though a lot of people think it was strictly because they "sold out", and I don't believe that, at least not totally.

I do like Metallica but Idk why I just feel mustaine is far more technical and talented. Megadeth is pretty good. And so is Metallica you don't sell a handed million records and not be alright. Haha but I'm glad he didn't stay in Metallica because he's better as a front man.

And yeah I like the newer a7x too I do like some screaming but not from them.. and they really know to perform live. Portnoy was awesome.

Dave is the better guitarist, no doubt about that, his voice sounds more distinct but that's just my opinion, I'll give James the ability to hype up a crowd in a stadium arena but you wouldn't catch me at that show

You know it's weird - I didn't for the longest time, then one of their songs got to me, and I just really like some of their stuff now. Not all of it, but some of it... but what I do like from them, I really like.

Well, David D from Disturbed is married and all that good stuff now, so I guess it's harder to scream about the hardships of life when you've got it pretty nice, no? Plus I think the guys all just are in a different place than they were.
