Converge is a band that doesn't get the respect they deserve. "You Fail Me" is one of the most powerful songs I've heard.

I've been rocking some Havoc Unit at the gym. Their album "h.IV+" is definitely twisted, dark, and evil enough to get me pumped.

I'm a Killswitch Engage fan from way back, but I think the new Times of Grace Album from Adam and the original KSE singer Jesse is the best album out so far this year, hands down!! GREAT stuff on that album.

5 finger death punch. Have seen them twice now, great show. I became fans of a couple bands that opened for them.
God Forbid and Shadows Fall.

I've always found it amusing how some people can bash one band because their music doesn't change/evolve, and in the same breath bash metallica for changing/evolving. For anyone who refuses to listen to Death Magnetic, do yourself a favor and at least listen to All Nightmare Long. Imo, its one of their top songs of all time.

I saw epica a few months back. A band called Scar Symmetry opened for them, I was impressed with them. Also Blackguard (which, surprislingly, my gf really liked) and The Agonist.

Some people, I've heard, refuse to listen to bands like Kamelot because its "power metal" or something...those people that refuse to listen to anything because of some classification miss out on some great music. (For example, at least check out Rule the World by Kamelot)

I forgot about Van Canto.

Not sure if you can call them metal (they're acapella, kinda) but if you enjoy anything resembling rock/metal, you'd prolly like them.

The lead singer could very well have the best rock/metal voice on the planet. Check out their song Kings of Metal. Or their cover of Battery.

...plus the female singer is super hot...
