Lol well shucks, haha I'm flattered. I personally it takes talent to be a good vocalist. Some people strain their vocal cords trying to sound like motionless in white or I declare war & don't even come close to it. Idk I have my opinions, I'm sure I could write for days lol.

I hear ya, I've spent countless hours practicing my growl to get it low and clear without shreddding my vocal chords, and I'm still not amazing or anything. The amount of time a real vocalist spends practicing that AND writing music/lyrics is amazing.

The scene kids/hipsters kill me too. They're usually the biggest jerks at concerts, next to the overly drunk/aggressive guy. They ruin mosh pits by ninja/hardcore dancing, throwing unneeded punches, or moshing to songs with little to no aggression and irritating people aroudn them. I'm a nice guy, but when someone acts like that, I throw them a warning punch and that normally straightens them out.

THANK YOU, I'm so against female vocalists especially for like hardcore or screamo or mostly heavy ass metal like it makes them look butch and they clearly can't do vocals like a male they don't have what guys have to do it im sorry I'm all for Guy vocalists that's it. On the flip side, guys can't shouldn't try to sing like girls.

As I said before, I appreciate growling, but at the same time I like something different. Hearing a pure operatic voice where you usually hear growling is interesting to me. Its the dichotomy that I like. Many of the bands that use female vocalists also have male vocalists that do growling (again, listen to Epica's Cry for the Moon). I've heard this style described as Beauty and the Beast, and I can't argue with that.

Some bands use male vocalists whose voices are a bit cleaner, but still more in line with what you expect from rock/metal. Listen to Nightwish's cover of Phantom of the Opera. Or a band called Delain, but I can't think of, offhand, a particular song.

Generally speaking though, I like bands that can mix it up. Like 5FDP has clean vocals as well. Or a band that I heard when they opened for Epica, and I've since become a fan of...Scar Symmetry.

The Agonist, featuring a female growler, also opened for Epica. Though I listened to them a bit on youtube, I didn't like it much. However, I was much more impressed with them live.

No people don't know what real thugs are, its stupid. I guarantee you if you took a dumb ass from sac & put them in front of a true mobster they would piss there sagging pants. Everyone just thinks their "gangsta" with their fitted hats with the stickers left on & there "pimped" out life ballin life style that's only possible cuz their the neighborhood drug dealer doesn't make you a thug. & also twisting your "glock" sideways ***** ain't gunna be a killshot either.
