this is a bit off topic but my upgrade has been up for several months now and i was wondering.. is it possible for me to grab the samsung fasinate for a week or two while i wait for the t-bolt? basically what i want to do is borrow a new phone from verizon using my upgrade until the TB comes out... if it doesnt come out before the 14days id just return it and go back to my D1

ooh good point. maybe ill go grab an X and get used to the screen size, soft keyboard and such until the tb comes out. not a bad plan!

so i can get an X, use it till the tb comes out and then pay 35 to have vzw take it back and use my bb preorder to get the tb....hmm.

Oh and dont quote me but if I remember correctly you can only return a phone 1 time. So you couldnt go buy the X and return it and get the Fascinate and then return the Fascinate for the TB

I've just been told the Thunderbolt will be in Monday the 28th. I have two different friends who works at verizon stores, and they both said it's Monday. Looks like Verizon wants one more weekend to push the iphone before the 'Bolt DESTROYS it!! Looking forward to Monday!!

as much as i hope this is true i really doubt it.. BMX already said March and he is the only i trust at this point.. Miami has no better info on this release than someone at a verizon store telling him.. I gave him all the credit on the INC HD and didnt happen so if you guys want to follow his happy trail go for it but we need to be realistic about this..

First 4G phone being released without at least a week heads up just doesnt make sense anyway you look at it.. i think tomorrow will be the day they announce it.. but that is pure IMO no one told me this.. that would just make sense.. More sense to release it tomorrow but we all should know by now that isnt going to happen..

Ugh, I gotta quit reading these threads. Everytime "the date" passes everyone chimes in saying they are hearing it will be the next date. I wish Verizon would just come out and say March 31st. If it drops earlier, sweet, if not at least we've got an official date.

100% agree with you, i would be less upset with that date then i would being dragged along week by week until then..

at least then i can stop checking here, the only reason i still do is because i dont want to miss the date lol.. i cant check this site once a day.. all or nothing its 50 times a day or nothing and nothing is not an option when the release date is up in the air still being this close to release..

This is getting ridiculous. I dont mean the forum of course, but rather the sheer tight lipped behavior of vzw. I mean, wow. Their iphone sales expectations are already WAY under the radar, and att has already launched its TB(the inspire 4g), and the atrix, with the infuse 4g on the way. Seriously, i dont meant to be a cry-baby, or a winer, but many of us have been waiting on this phone almost a year now. Its time big red... Dont make me buy a used dinc!!

Verizon's Thunderbolt is much better than AT&T's Inspire 4G.

-Not enabled for HSUPA (4G uploading on AT&T's network)
-Limited to 4GB of data due to the network
-Has only 4 GB (8 on TB) internal memory and only 8 GB (32 on TB) pre installed micro SD card
-Has only a 1230 mAh battery (1400 on TB)
And worst of all...
-HSPA instead of LTE

Of course the TB is better. However, I need a phone to mess with while they release the thunderbolt. I have been a vzw customer for years and have 5 lines on my family share plan. I have no intention of jumping ship I was just curious as to how good another carrier was in my area.

Yeah I don't get why the 8 page thread wasn't closed and the 450+ page thread wasn't just moved into the HTC Thunderbolt section...

But anyways, I really wish I could get an Atrix on Verizon right about now...
Sick of waiting for something that had potential to be released over a month ago. It'd be a lot easier to cope with if Verizon actually kept us informed as to why it's being delayed...

ur crazy man, think of it on a biz perspective.. any info they give out publicly is a liability and they will have to fight to keep up with what they said..

the other day someone pointed out that they said Q1 and nothing else and it is smart on their end because that gives them the chance to wait until the last day of Q1 before they are considered wrong.

At this point officially VZN is not holding anything back they said would be released, now why they would says "coming sooner than expected" the hell if i know..
