I appreciate your input, but the 3 choices listed were what I could choose from. Maybe that is because the TB is Android, so they offered something "comparable".

The Bionic is not comparable...it is better. You traded up.

And yeah, that is one good thing about buying from Verizon...their shipping is always fast.

I agree with you there, JeffDenver. Let's say I used the word comparable very loosely. Realistically, the tech at VZW asked "How do you want us to resolve the issue?" I stated that I wanted a different phone from another manufacturer, and per supervisor clearance, I was given the choice is those 3. Grand slam for me; I get the Bionic for $26 and I can still upgrade at year's end. And VZW has a happy customer.

Just as a follow up: I received the Bionic Friday afternoon. Since I could not wait for the back and battery to arrive separately, I bought a back and combo battery and external charger plus the Otterbox Defender at local VZW store.

Now, I'm certain this was an excellent choice. PS: the screen does not bother me like some say. Zero negatives here, but I await ICS. This one came with 5.5.893. That is the most current?

I recall reading different ones that say something about pixelation and or not as sharp as they would like.

But not me, I absolutely love this phone.

I looked at one at the store when I went to buy my battery. It looked fine to me.

I do not see "it" (any problem) on mine. Phone is a bit slimmer width-wise. And Otterbox has a better design for bionic than for TB, IMO.

Edit: btw this has something to do with the screen technology in bionics. Some people said it bothered them.

Pentile display, that was what I was talking about. Non-issue for me. It is perfectly fine for me.
