While we wait ....

Assuming it shipped from IL, which you would think there aren't many locations it could ship from. It should be here today or tomorrow. FedEx Home Delivery delivers Saturday and I would assume that's what they used. This is all assuming they also used FedEx.

But it could've shipped from CHINA! AHHHH!!!! CHINESE PHONE!!!!

Haha! Since their US support sounds like Native English speaking folk, I'm assuming they've got some sort of hub in the States, so I don't think it's that drastic. Perhaps I'll contact them again today to see if they have a tracking number they've neglected to email to me.

Saturday would actually be better for me, if they're going to require a signature. Again, who knows what Huawei's policies are, but should be home most, if not all, of the day tomorrow. Of course, I wouldn't mind finding it on the porch at lunch or having them bring it by this evening. The wife works late today, so it'd be best for our relationship if they bring it right after I get home so I have time to set it all up before she gets home. ;)

Lol I may have to have a sit down with my wife. "look, just because there's a new girl in town, doesn't mean I don't love you anymore"

Upon further investigation (Huawei's own forum and XDA), it appears they're shipping via UPS from Fort Worth Texas. And a LOT of people got the email I got that the device had shipped on the same day with no tracking info. All seem to be Aluminum versions of the phone.

Interesting situation and no one seems to know whether or not they all actually shipped, though some people have had success tracking via UPS.com using the order number as a Reference number (I had no such luck). A select few claim to have received tracking numbers. Best estimate for some that have the info so far is delivery by Monday or Tuesday. Still not bad, but sure would be nice to know exactly what's going on here...

UPS generally takes longer to get to where it's going, but is usually cheaper as a result. They also don't do Saturday deliveries. If that helps any.

No. That doesn't help at all. I'm resigning myself to thinking it'll be here by the middle of next week if I'm lucky. In which case, they meet their quote of early November.

This isn't THAT much different from when I pre-ordered the Note 4 through VZW. Only thing there was that it had an official launch date that it was supposed to be available in carrier stores, so they shipped to get them into people's hands the day before that or at least that very day.

No such hard deadline with this device, since it's only available online. To their credit, no one ever gave a hard date when these devices would ship. At the event, it was something like "late October," which, yes. Some shipped before the end of this month and were received.

When you all ordered from Google, you were given a window of dates to expect. When I questioned Huawei support, they told me early November.

I'm not really seeing how it's a cluster, other than some poor communication on Huawei's part, at this point.

Sure, there was a bit of a back up with some phones, but Google made good there imo with the $25 credit.

Does is suck waiting? You bet, but it could be a LOT worse so far.

The cluster is people who ordered last week have the phones. While the people who ordered weeks before do not. Yes I know the expected ship dates we agreed to but how is that not a messed up situation? What good with the $25 credit, I haven't seen anything on this. Or is that for orders for the 128GB frost that nobody has received yet.

On another note. My friend pulled out the 5X box from her purse last night. I about went nuts trying to get a hands on with it. And she has a huge purse apparently. The 5X is a very nice phone, if the 6P doesn't work for me.

Is it coming from China?

S5 tap'n
It says US. Status is only that the order has been processed through UPS, so there's no city or state yet. I'm guessing they won't pick it up until Monday.

Rumor on the Huawei forum on their site is that they're shipping from Texas.
