While we wait ....

It sat in Ohio for over 9 hours just to go back into Illinois. I should've had Mustang go hijack it.

And now it's only got an arrival scan listed in Il, so I'm wondering if the damn thing is gonna sit there all day now.

Does UPS employee only vampire drivers for long haul? They can only move packages significant distances at night?

Something weirds going on there..

This kinda thing happens to me all the time when stuff is shipped UPS. Both now that I live up here & before, when I lived in the middle of the country.

From IL, where it now claims to be again, it's less than 6 hours drive, according to Google. From that town in Ohio where it was all afternoon & evening yesterday, its over 7. I remixes they've got certain routes & have to account for every package shipped, but don't tell me you're ahead of schedule, move it to another location, then realize that coming up from downstate across the bridge takes longer.

You ship things & plot courses for a living. I realize I'm up here in no man's land, but now I'm at Mustang's level of frustration. & I woke up too early for a day off with no package to be delivered.

Not to rub it in or anything, but it's definitely worth the wait. Hopefully it gets to you today.

on the move..

I'm ready man, but I don't think it's coming today.

I'm wondering if it gets to the point of arrival scan at my local hub if I can go pick it up, but it still isn't showing as having left Hodgkins again yet.

I know you can, but I wanna know if I can pick it up before they're ready to deliver. Haha

We'll see if I get tracking info indicating that it even makes its way up here today...

You should be able to. But if the package is close enough to you to pick up you may as well have then deliver it.

on the move..

What my logic is so far is, if it arrives this evening while the hub is still open for business, but they don't intend to deliver it til tomorrow, I want to go take it from them. Wish I knew where else it would stop along the way. I'd have them put a hold on it & take a drive.

Seriously? Ugh I should have gone there. You'd have your phone.

I'd call them and ask where it will be tonight and to hold it, I'll come get it.

That all depends on where it is. I'm not driving 5-6 hours down to Illinois if it doesn't move today. If it got to Green Bay, that's a different story. That's only about 2 hours & I may be hauling a couch halfway there anyway for my brother-in-law if he ever gets back to me on whether it'll fit in their place or not.
