Yes. I plan to go naked and use this everywhere I go. Unlike my past phones that have had cases and stayed in the truck.

I didn't buy mine from Google, so I didn't get the option of getting the insurance plan, but the only time I ever had to get a phone replaced was when my cell radio on my S4 basically just quit on me for no reason. VZW reps were just as perplexed by it as I was and they sent me out a replacement.

Not that I never drop my phone. Guess I've just been lucky. Only ever cracked the screen on my OG Droid.

I might look into a third-party insurance company. I forget the name of that one...Square Trade? Is that one?

Anyway, I'm planning to rock mine naked as well, if nothing else, at least at first. If I find I seem to be having trouble holding on to it, I may invest in a case, but I went with the aluminum because I like the different look from the phones I usually go for, so I want to show that off.

I too plan on going naked, I'll be getting the aluminum and it'll be hard to want to cover it up. I went to order it today and the 64 GB Aluminum was out of stock...go figure..

That leaked memo or whatever from Sprint said the something like the 26th, but that SOME users may have them as early as the 14th.

If they ship early, I'd bet for right at the end of the month. I read in another thread the other day that the 5X is supposed to ship on the 22nd, so it makes sense to me that they'd try to coordinate and get both models to start shipping at least in the same week.

I'm sure it'll be that November date, but I'll cling to hope every day until I get that email.

At this point, I'm just hoping it arrives before we travel back home for Thanksgiving. Otherwise it'll be my luck that it'll be delivered a day or 2 after we leave or some other inconvenient time where it won't make sense for me to have the people watching the house overnight it to me at my parents'. Haha

I miss the days of product announcements where the device shipped right away. That used to happen, didn't it? Or do I just wish so bad that it happened? I know I've had experiences where I didn't have to wait over a month for a device that was announced and available for pre-order.
