My order confirmation from Huawei simply said that they'd email me once the device has shipped with tracking info.
They emailed me again today. I got excited. They just wanted to announce the Nexus 6P to me. Thanks guys. I ordered it. I'm fully aware it exists. Now smack it on the butt, pack it up, and send it out the door!
Yeah. I don't travel much where I need navigation, but when I do, I prefer full screen maps. My old car (now the wife's) has satellite radio, so I listened to that. With my truck, add long as I have a good playlist, I have controls on my Bluetooth connector & watch that are just as easy as changing the station.
Not to mention I was in a bad habit for a while of accidentally shrinking apps when trying to pull down my notification shade on my Note 4 for quite a while. Still do it from time to time. Can't say I'll miss multi window, but that's my own fault for not finding ways to utilize to for my needs.
I'm old school. I don't mind switching between apps. Haha
So I ordered another case & some screen protectors from Amazon... at this rate I may spend as much on accessories as I have for the phone... and still have nothing to play with
You will drive yourself nuts doing that. But 34 days is a bit extreme if you ask me. Two weeks after announcement should be the ship timeframe. Not a month and a half.
I'm toying with the idea of getting just a clear silicone case, so I can still show off the aluminum while having at least protection from scrapes for the first little while of owning the device.
I think they should ship before the update goes out to older devices. As I stated in another thread, the Nexus Twitter account keeps popping up as an ad in my Twitter app telling me to be the first to get Marshmallow by pre-ordering a 5X or 6P. I've done so. I still won't be the first to have it. Other Nexus owners are already running the official build.
