I can not agree more, but I could not pass up the chance to use my last upgrade "not have it go to waste" at subsidized price and still keep unlimited. Like I said in my post, it was a long hard painful decision. Not me,i've had my fill of motorola's and samsungs,to me the rezound is the best out there now and atleast for the rest of this year...

guess someone took a screen shot of the reception on the S3 and compared it to there Rezound. Guess it's the same antenna like the gnex. That's how I compared my wife's Gnex to my Rezound. It was that much of a difference in signal.
The radio in the Gnex isn't nearly as bad as some people would have you believe. I've been running it for 2 months and haven't had half of the problems a lot of people were complaining about. It holds a decent 4G signal when I'm in 4G areas(almost all the time), switches to 3G and back to 4G without issue, doesn't drop calls, no green tinge, etc... Now I could have gotten lucky but that goes for every phone model not just the GNex. I mean how many people were carrying Rezound hot plates in their pockets?
OK. Let me chime in on this one since this was a issue I was having with my Maxx. I now have the SG3 and can tell you that the radio and the retaining of the 4G signal in the GS3 is better than the Maxx. I am sitting right now at my desk in a huge warehouse with concrete walls in a 4G extended area. Right here in this very spot my Maxx would be 3G and rarely would be 4G. If I go near a window 4G would appear on the Maxx. The GS3 on the other hand is rock solid. In the same places in this warehouse and office the SG3 is 4G 90% of the time where the Maxx would be on 4G MAYBE 20% of the time.
Even at my home where I would have 3G/4G switching (i live in a extended 4G network area 2 blocks from my work/office) I am 4G 50% of the time with the Maxx. Now with the SG3 I am 4G at least 80% of the time.
My wifes Bionic NEVER switchs at my house 4G ALWAYS. I got fed up with the Maxx for this reason and went with the Samsung GS3 and am very happy that I did.
Now to debunk it was equipment failure with the Maxx......... not only did I have the Maxx replaced for that issue but I have several friends with the Razr/Maxx and they have the same issues to the T.
Hail to the SG3!!!! So far it's performance has been stellar.
On a side note... if I ran speedtest.net app on the Bionic and the Maxx, the Bionic would beat out the Maxx 8 out of 10 times. Even other peoples Razr/Maxxs the Bionic my wife has would smoke them. Now the SG3 takes the top spot and smokes the Bionic. All when on 4G of course.
That's why for the new plans "price increases" LOL, they need it to do fix those wonky reception issues, LOL.tgyberg said:I think vzw still has a bunch of work to do on the network. So many wonky reception stories.. My phone has been great, no drops of any kind.
