Who's planning on getting the Droid Turbo?

Replacing a battery and having 100% charge no matter where you are in 15 seconds is far far far more convenient than carrying a bulky charger and cord around, trying to find a place to charge it, and hugging a wall for 15 minutes to get 8 hours of charge.

I am a strong supporter of a removable battery. However the thing that eliminates the entire argument for or against replaceable batteries is the simple fact that the battery on the Turbo will easily make it through a full day of use, as long as I charge it to 100% overnight while I sleep. In this scenario, neither a replaceable battery nor a turbo charger would be necessary for normal usage.
I have never had the battery life in my droid razr maxx like some have claimed.
So I'm guessing that even at 100% charge, the turbo will need a recharge before my 12 hr work day is over. But we'll see.

I guess it's all depending on your situation. For me, I'm never more than a few feet from a power source whether at home, work or in my car. Also, the charger adapter isn't bulky IMHO, but again that depends on who's carrying it and how.

I also agree that with such a large battery if it's charged overnight it should last all day. My MAXX does and it's a smaller battery and less power efficient processor/GPU.
Yea, being near a power source for recharge will not be a problem for me either.

Except that it's not the right case. The Turbo has dual flash and that case only shows one cutout for a flash. Also, there isn't a speaker slot on the lower back of the Turbo.

I didn't even look at it.. It wasn't an otterbox defender.. So I'm not interested.. Lol

28th is the announcement, at least. The launch is purely speculation as of now. I'm hoping for the 30th at the latest, personal speculation/finger crossed hope. As of late, no TV spots etc. to help bolster the launch hype. We still are a week out and several prime media events to start advertising, MNF, world series (any game would work), heck, dancing with the stars.

I would get one if it released in my country/city. Unfortunately not :(
So sorry to hear it won't be available for you. Still, I'll bet there are things you can get that are out of my reach. It's this way all over. I'm sure there will be something pretty awesome available to you. Check with your local carriers and see what's up.

It's supposed to be released on other carriers here in the US.. So that means as a GSM phone, shouldn't you be able to buy one and pop a Sim card in and go? After all.. Isn't that what some people do in America, to get ahold of phones quicker?

And even if it doesn't pop up anywhere else, since the Turbo is on Verizon, it will be SIM unlocked right out of the box. It will function on GSM 3G networks and on several LTE bands. Just pop in a SIM, edit the APN info, and it should be good to go.
