As PPs have mentioned Droid can not compete with any Apple accessories because of the standard USB connection on the phones. It is a shame, because there would be some great after market accessories for Android if there was.
And until these phones start coming out with a standard connection that will allow audio pass through, they can not compete with Apple when it comes to audio media. Motorola calling the Motorola Home Dock a Media Dock was a joke! Being able to drop my iPod into a car dock, home dock, or portable stereo and just hit play is convenient. That is why I don't use my Droid for audio nearly as much as I should.
There is an input jack in the back of the Bose dock. You can connect your Droid directly to that jack. That's what I did when I first got the Droid to hear the sound. The sound was great, but it is much easier sticking an iPod in the dock and hitting play.
