The only thing thats not working for me is the new swype beta (probably because its a beta designed to work with droid's 2.1) is there a way to get it to work?


oooh and for some reason the default blue lwp from cyanogen .8 doesn't work on here. If anybody has tips for either it'd be awesome.

I had the same problem with the new Swype... I just uninstalled it and then reinstalled it and it worked.. hopefully it will do the same for you..

Anyone know how to get it to work from Titanium backup? Theres no restore option on mine.

I downloaded v5 from Rom Manager.

I installed your v5 last night, no problems whatsoever, was really impressed but I wasn't happy with the speed so I tried running P3's 1200 kernel and ..... well it doesn't work.

I just finished flashing back to CM because I didn't backup the froyo yet. Will reup to Kangerade, however I need to know what did I do wrong with the kernel? I thought you guys are using this kernel with no issues? Once I rebooted I had no battery/no card but it would allow me to run it still.

Grab the kernels from here P3Droid Kernels just make sure to use the 2.2 ones.

Yeah, I got swype to work too. I just had to redownload the beta installed, they updated it. Is the version posted here actually V4? I thought that maybe it was just linked to the v5 file and nobody bothered to change the name?

Damn... having the same issue with ti backups as I did with Fly 0.5. The ti backups say they're restoring, but they don't actually get restored. They do restore fine using Pete's BB 0.1. Is anyone else having a hard time restoring backups?

Did u make sure that unknown sources box is checked and the usb debugging box is checked?

Yes usb debug and unknown sources are enabled. DL'd Busybox from app for both backup and restore. Tried every type of compression and no compression... Some Froyo ROMs just do not like my titanium backups. Anyone else?

I'm posting this message from my WiFi tethered netbook via my Droid with JRummy's Froyo Kangerade, just to confirm that wifi-tether is indeed working fine on this build. I simply ran the android.tether.apk and even set it up with access control and WEP 128-bit encryption and all is well and working.

Now just the green theme will be all I need to make this complete!

Also, with other stock Froyo builds for some reason I couldn't find the Skype for Verizon app on the market, but with this build, I went to the market and boom, Skype app was there and I installed it and it is working nice. Free calls to Mexico again. Now there's no reason to go back to 2.1, only the green theme is miss so much.

Last night I finished the nex-theme.. Now I just have to port... ummm.. cyan, red, pink-life, blue, green and maybe I'll do dark edge (but that can't be a full rom). Looks like another late night after work today.

Ok... I know I should know this right allready... But, I grabbed a 1250 kernal from that site and put in on my SD.. how do I install it? I not the most tech savvy, I use Rom Manager to install my Roms/Themes...

If you have the kernel on your sd card, you can simply go into rom manager and select instal rom from sd card then select the kernel.

I'd recommend one at a time, just so... if by chance anything goes wrong, you don't have to go back and put out a fix for all the roms at once.

Unless that makes things more stressful, in which case... jus' wait and do it all at once.

Note to those running Rom Manager, for some reason ClockworkMod Recovery wasn't working today, couldn't even load from phone startup. Went into rom manager and realized there was an update for it, which also told me there was an update to Clockwork, now everything is working.

Installing the correct P3 Kernel now 125-1200

And to those wondering about the v4 being relinked.... I'm going to take a stab and say its v5 because the filename is the same as I downloaded from RM. Guessing he's just re-uploading the file.
