[WIP] Froyo Kangerade V1.0 *testers needed*

Is there a spare parts that works with froyo that has the ability to change the clock color and all those other options? Every rom I've used gives me the basic spare parts with just transitions.

I had this running until I tried overclocking it and my battery stopped working and went to zero. The phone would only work while charging. At first, I thought the battery went bad because it would not charge at all. Something was not allowing the battery to be seen by the system. It was like there was no battery in the phone. Anyway, I went back to a backup from yesterdays BB and now everything is working fine. Battery is back and charged full. Strangest thing I've seen on the Droid.

Sounds like you installed a kernel that wasn't a .32 (froyo) It is the only thing I can think of that would cause this issue.

DL'ed from RM and this thing flies!! Can't wait for the remixed themes from JRummy to start rolling in.

As for the bugs...I have been having the same as what was already mentioned above with the cut off landscape view, weird deskclock characters, music button on deskclock causes FC, & drocap only capturing half the screen.

I have also had one random reboot. (6 1/2 hours with Kangerade test 5). I was running P3's initial release Froyo version with the basband update before and was getting TON's of reboots though, so one every 6-7 hours seems like a godsend right now...

On the last 2 froyo releases I have ran drocap captures half the screen but if you put the file on your computer the whole picture is there. Just wanted to say I dont think this is a jrummy rom issues if its happening on other froyo roms to. May be something with froyo but it may be the app I guess we will see.
Sometimes if you wait a second the whole picture will come up and others its only half screen. you can also send it in a mms an dit will be the whoe pic.

I've noticed two small bugs in the system:

When opening the launcher drawer in landscape mode, the bottom row apps are cut off enough so that you can't read their text.

AND

The gallery acts really wierd, was glitchy the first time I opened it, but certain folders, particularly my drocap folder, only displays half of the picture and its always blurry, won't fully load.

Can you post a screen shot of this? I don't have this issue but would like to see what your talking about so I can look into it. Thanks.

I can attach a screen shot of what mine looks like. It basically cuts off the title of the bottom row on mine.

That looks like the ADW launcher, right? If you go into its settings you can tweek thr settings related to how the app launcher displays, which would probably fix that.

Agreed.. don't think this is a rom issue either. I did build adw from source but hardly changed any code at all.

If you have the kernel on your sd card, you can simply go into rom manager and select instal rom from sd card then select the kernel.

Got it figured out... was a little cofusing because your supposed to rename the Kernal to update.zip... but that file allready exists. I renamed to update1.zip and it worked... Running 1.25Ghz.... Thx!

I also didn't like how the dock on the bottom only allows for 2 shortcuts in ADW Launcher, so I went into the Market and installed the latest LauncherPro Beta and it is nice. If you select the Dock Background to 'Glass' Style it has a nice 3D glass shadow under all 4 links and the App Drawer button. But it's nice to have the 4 links back on the dock. Also there is an option in LauncherPro Beta to have 3D app drawer too which looks nice if you like that.

Even with WEP 128-bit encryption and Access Control turned on. This is not available from the market. You must go to the: http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/list and there it is. I am just running a version that I downloaded a couple months ago. Not sure how old my version is but it was the latest version of android-wifi-tether out at the time.

Look at my post a few pages ago...

Or better yet-- as jrummy told me, the wireless tether app is in the market. and isn't wired tether in the menu?

You are correct, gentlemen! I didn't get into the settings too much yet and I've never used ADW before. I changed my landscape rows to 3 instead of 4 and now it works great. Thanks for the assist Isaiah and JR!
