And i'll bet MONEY that when someone does grab it OTA and we check the MD5 sum, it will be EXACTLY what we already have. 6.7.246 is 6.7.246; there is no distictions between a leak and an official OTA aside from Verizon's approval.

Not sure that your last statement is absolutely true. I'm hoping I'm remembering this correctly....Remember when the ICS leaks first started to come out that some of us had issues installing them due to the .905 file we were using. If you were on the leak of .905, you couldn't install the ICS leaks. You had to have to OTA version of .905 to install. So there is a chance that (slight, slight , slight chance) that something could be different. Hopefully, I'm not imagining things here.

The directors of the firm hired to

be known that they have just been
sacked.

The credits have been completed
in an entirely different style at great
expense and at the last minute.

Wha? I've been watching since the cartoon and the only 905s that couldn't do it were safestrapped ones, 905 is 905 or it would be 906, period. You don't understand version control. One code edit equals another version assignment.

The only thing I remember about that was some people who had froze or removed stuff had to first get back to stock before going to any leak...which I believe still holds true in order to get OTA.
But when the OTA is released it will be cross checked with the. 246 leak..and afaik that release is the final official OTA...so everyone who is running the leak will be on the path again.
I'm not sure what you were asking/saying so if my response isn't what you mean, ignore it :)

That's what fxzs are for, restoring an updateable image, even the mini, kinda sorta

I gotta say, if anyone is considering if they should go to 246, I ABSOLUTELY recommend doing it. I used HoB last week and have never enjoyed a phone as much as my Bionic with ICS. I even let a coworker with a Bionic play with it and he had me use HoB on his too. It's ridiculously easy. Hats off to Sam.

So... and sorry if this is in the HoB (I suspect if I go there I'll take the "plunge") - what are the consequences of updating with a leak? At this point when we know the update is stable?

the main (large) issue with updating to .246 is there is absolutely no way for you to go back to .905

So you either hope that .246 is the official OTA (which if it is, you don't need to do anything else and you are back on the OTA path) or you hope that the HoB can update you to the official OTA (which is should, but no guarantees).

Just be careful if you have USB 3.. Read the FAQ! lol

Lol, I just went to .246 the other day. When I started the script said "if this hangs its not finding your phone". It should have said, "idiot! You didn't check 'usb debugging'!" Lol. I really thought it was checked

Hey - occurs to me that the reason Moto couldn't send out more than one update at once was that sending one 300MB+ update to millions of phones swamped their servers and lines. But wait! Now they are owned by Google, who might own a couple (hundred thousand) servers and probably the largest aggregate bandwidth of any company. Shouldn't it be trivial for them to put an update on the GoogleCloud and not only get it out quickly, but also be able to update more than one model at a time? Wake up MotoGoogle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
